As far as museums go, this one is at the top end. You wouldn't expect it from such a small, out of the way town, but it is worth a visit. Very interesting history, and very well run establishment. More

Talana Museum is really a complex of different, small museums. We only visited the battlefields related ones, and were most impressed with the displays and info on offer. Well worth a visit, set aside at least two or three hours. More

You need most of the day to take in this brilliant museum. Dundee hasn't got much going for it but this museum, which is on the site of a Boer War battle, tells you about the coal mining in the area and separate exhibits are equaly fascinating. More

Lots of interest in spacious grounds - shops and museums including a rebuilt old station, and a late19th Century cottage. Also on the edge, a Zulu village. Good museum of glass, silver, mining etc, and attractive gardens. More

The musuem is vast and you need 3-4 hours to do it justice - I particularly liked the Boer War section. We were lucky enough to visit on a Sunday and the self service buffet - basically an old fashioned Sunday dinner - was fantastic! More

We did not have a lot of time to do the museum justice, but from what we saw, which was the section on the battles was delightfully small compact and very well laid out. More
