We took our grandaughters to ride, all under 7. We were met with courtesy and friendliness. The girls enjoyed learning how to prepare the ponies and then rode them. They were very happy and full of smiles when we came back. Two returned the following day and enjoyed it just as much. I would have given it five, but there... More

We were a mixed ability group but opted for an hour ride that would suit our four beginners. The staff were fab, really personable and friendly. The ponies were the best behaved, responsive and obviously well adored ponies I think that we've ever come across. Marigold was a poppet and my husband completely fell for Kelpie. The hack was through... More

My pal and I have been promising ourselves a day out and what a day we had, riding lovely Highlands in the most beautifull scenery with an excelent guide and the weather was good to us also. I will be telling everyone about our lovely day and will be back again. Thanks Lorraine for the great time .

Been promising my daughter horse riding for ages, this worked out perfectly as neither of us had done horse riding before, was made to feel very comfortable and had a fantastic hour of riding in the Scottish lands. Well priced and a great hour to unwind .

We always ride when away, and from experience can spot a decent yard. A happy yard makes happy staff and horses and this was very much the case at Newtonmore. We could not have asked for a better or warmer welcome. The horses are obviously very much loved and the staff know all of their personalities and quirks. The affection... More

So much for cantering & possible jumping!! We opted for the 0.5 day experienced hack out as it was for advanced riders but, the centre took us on a plod up and down a track. We were very disappointed. The other 2 people who were also on the plod were obviously incabable of controlling the horse & and had even... More

A good centre, outdoor school and access to the hills. Riders are assessed at the start of the hack to ensure correct levels. The centre is happy to accept riders from the age of 3 and is very child friendly

On our first holiday as a family, to Aviemore, I loved the idea of giving our daughter her first pony ride, but most places didn't seem to cater for one so young. Not so at Newtonmore - as long as they could find a hat small enough for her and we signed the consent form they were happy to take... More
