Went on a beginners 1 hour trek. Lady that led us was friendly and the horses were very well behaved. Only thing I would have liked to be done differently was to have been given a quick 10 minute overview of the basics in the paddock before setting off

Excellent - will be back again soon! Ponies are well schooled and very experienced (even if as beginners the riders aren't). Easy to find, parking on site. Very enjoyable - plan to return for full day as it sounds fantastic.

We booked for a two hour hack, and very glad we did, it was delightful and I would have been very disappointed if we'd had to turn back earlier! Good value, as in the end we were out for more like 2 1/2 hours. There were just two of us booked, but we still had two helpers from the stables... More

Husband and I booked for a beginner ride. He had never ridden and I was a rusty novice. We were looked after by a lovely girl who was clearly keen to look after us. I have a hip condition which limits me in some respects but, as an RDA (Riding for the Disabled) approved centre she helped me all the... More

I have had a fab weekend Carriage Driving at the Newtonmore Riding Centre. The staff are all lovely and friendly and very helpful. The stables are very well looked after, all neat and tidy and there is even an interesting Loft Museum showing pics and equipment of working ponies with lots of comfy sofas to relax on. The Centre caters for... More

For my 7 year old grand-daughter a horse ride on a holiday is a must. We phoned and booked a 30 minute ride for £15. On arrival the staff were friendly with the dark haired girl (who gave out the forms) being very enthusiastic and good with the kids. My grand-daughter was one of 3 riders with each horse led... Daughter had another fabulous mini stable day here and hasn't stopped talking about it since. Always try and visit whenever we are staying nearby!

My husband and I had a great ride with beautiful scenery. We even got really close to some sheep! We took the 1.5 hour ride, but I think we were actually out a bit longer. We are definitely beginner level, so the nice slow walking suited us perfectly. Our guide was very friendly too!

its nice stuff, but the riding was simple walking, made round on a field and that is all. i thing it is little bit expensive.

I am very sorry you were not entirly satisfied with your visit. I can only assume you were either with us for a Beginner Ride or a Childrens Lead Rein when you were only in the fields. Any ride of more than 1 hour or of ability level of more than Beginner always leave the fields and usually use the... More
