Close to, yet far away, from the bustle of Margate and Ramsgate, this is like a secret place. It is one's childhood memory of sand and sea, with nothing to spoil it. Golden sand, few people, a very good unobtrusive cafe at the back of the beach. For something more sophisticated, up the steps from the beach, at the top... More

I enjoyed this peaceful sandy beach. if you have children and want to go rock pooling it's ideal but if its paddling your after it very hard to get to the sea as their is lots of rocks.

We've been to Botany Bay today. It was very hot and sunny and it was very busy. The place is really really nice, a must see and parking is quite easy but I strongly advise you not to get in the water when the tide is low: it's full of rocks and even with shoes you will have an awful... More

Peaceful, secluded, clean bay. Is manned by lifeguards in peak times. Has a little hut selling refreshments at busier times. Toilets had toilet roll!

Wonderful unspoilt stretch of sand, dunes at one end rock pools at the other!! A kiosk sells all you might want and more, toilet facilities just up the steps. There is a slope too...for those with buggies or wheelchairs probably the best option. It has lifeguards regularly present, and they really do their stuff, out on kayaks while the sea... More

A little further out of Broadstairs- a drive- but well worth it. Clean sands, turquoise seas, quiet and lovely. Perfect.

We followed a hunch to find this beach which is madly hidden at the end of a very ordinary suburban road. My oh my the sun was shining and the beach was gorgeous. Sandy at the high tide line, with all sorts of chalky rockpools at low tide, cliff stacks sticking up from the middle and nice views which do... More

I have to say this is a lovely bay which gets very busy in the summer. It has a nice shop on the beach for refreshments and a hotel which does lunches and a wide variety of drinks (Hot, Cold and Alcoholic). Botany Bay is the location of many films and TV programmes and TV Adverts, If you come to... More

Excellent sandy beach. Lifeguard station so safe for kids. Only a tea hut so not an expensive day out if you take a picnic
