Visiting here with the family. Weather not great, but still a lovely beach to walk along. Blue flag with life guarded area, but beach loos are usual (awful) standard. Pub at the top of the ramp good for a drink before or after. Chalk towers make for a good selfie ( don't get cut off by tide).

I live and have lived in Kent for 49 years.. Never have I been somewhere that has me thinking I am in the minority. So many Eastern European accents it beggars belief. So disappointing.

This a lovely sandy beach, and the cliffs give it some areas of shade for those who want to escape the sun! I couldn't see a car park, but we parked in a residential road about 5 min walk away and had no problems. Just be warned that it gets very busy on sunny days and there are only 2... More

A lovely beach in an attractive setting. The shape of the bay provides a natural protection against sea breezes, particulary towards the back, and it is the perfect spot for a traditional day on the beach. Lots of rockpools when the tide is low, and some interesting features in the chalk cliffs including a chalk stack which has completely separated... More

I have spent two days with my family including 3 kids. We are all satisfied in this place! From the morning to the evening my kids played on the beach. This place is very calm and family size. This is the good point for our family holiday. :) I strongly recommended here for another holiday again! I missed it.^^

You have to go down the longest road ever to reach the beach, past some really lovely and quirky houses (except for the newish development at the top end of the road, where all the houses and flats look exactly the same with one barely distinguishable from the next!) There is a fairly steep, step access to the beach but... More

Absolutely great beach, I love here and my first choice of beach when the weather is warm and always clean. Sea is great and have Lifeguards on duty and also a little snack place with ice creams etc. Also great for walks in the not so warm weather too. Just a stunning place to go. Parking is limited and it... More

It's a lovely beach not far from East london . Don't go if you want to have fish and chips as there are no shops other then small cafe at beach. Nevertheless perfect sandy beach. Parking is free but difficult to find nearby in sunny weekend. Highly recommend if you want to enjoy only sun sand and sea.
