Snuggled down below the cliffs of the Norh Foreland is Botany Bay . This supurb extensive sandy beach is perfect for just chilling out or for spending time with the children or family friends away from the major and usually busier beaches in Thanet. Take a picnic..buy an ice cream...just don"t forget your bucket and spade ..you"ll need it if... More

Iconic chalk stacks rise up from the sands, you can walk between them at low tide. Clean sandy beach with life guards and chalk cliff with steps down to the beach. Free parking at top with hotel and restaurant. Nice walk from here to Joss Bay.

We went with my daughter and we thoroughly enjoyed this beach with sand not pebbles. It's a shame the local children aren't as nice, verbally abusing a old man and us as we are from chinese origin and throwing stones at us when we left the bay. A local dog walker did have a word with them but i am... More

a beautiful soft sandy beach surrounded by white chalky cliffs. There are toilets half way to the top up some steps and in the summer they have a kiosk on the beach. Great for beachcombing, and exploring bays and caves at low tide

Beautiful day, empty, gorgeous beach, caves, chalk stacks, rock pools - wonderful! We walked from Palm Bay and back along the cliff.

This is a most beautiful soft sandy bay. There is a long slope of wide steps and a good metal hand rail to lead you down. Half way down are loos and at the bottom a useful kiosk selling snacks and beach gear. The best thing about this bay is the great monumental stacks of chalk which you cam wander... More

The beaches here are amazing and a walkers dream. The stuff washed up on the shore line is fascinating and there is a brilliant mix of sand chalk and rock pools. The chalk cliffs are separated punctured by holes and caves giving the whole thing a romantic haunting feel. You can walk endless miles of lovely sand and it really... More
