Tiny, windswept but lovely beaches and chalk cliffs. Great for a few hours on the beach building sandcastles and paddling.

Great for dog walking, sand dunes, rocky coast line. There's reasonable parking but some of the roads are a bit unloved!

Calming and relaxing place, perfect for everyone who wants a good day out by the sea side . The views are amazing and the cliffs are a major impact to the place.

Visited with two children yesterday and although we are almost at the end of the Summer holidays the Botany Bay Kiosk was open selling buckets & spades etc! The beach is clean, has lifeguards and toilets with free parking. Rock pools when the tide is out and lovely sand for making castles! Only had coffee from the kiosk (which could... More

I had not heard of this beach before two days ago and am so pleased that I found it on this website. It was beautiful! Lots of space even in school hOlidays easy to spread out along beach. Felt like before being somewhere further South on mainland Europe. Went there with my son and his wife. Free on street parking.... More

We spent the day at this great beach, the sand is yellow and clean, the sea was warm enough to swim in and the views were great. There was plenty of room to spread out as you go further down the beach. Free parking in the roads close to the beach and a cool pint to finish at the Botany... More

Botany Bay is a quiet beach with lifeguard cover, free parking, a little beach shop, toilets and a nice looking pub / restaurant on the cliffs above the beach - although we didn't try it. The beach was clean and is interesting because it has some mid-size chalk cliffs behind it and a couple of chalk sea stacks at the... More

Very pleased with being offered superior double room even though we had our dog. Wonderful sea view. Gorgeous bathroom. Understandably dogs not allowed in breakfast room but instead a table (with prompting by us) was set in comfortable bar area. A mere niggle but having seen how nice non pet guests were catered for at breakfast, we wanted that experience!... More

I visited the beach with my two children. It is lovely. We enjoyed a relaxing, hassle free day. The beach and water is really clean. There are no tacky shops and we parked for free. If you intend to go for the day you will need to take a picnic. There is a small shop to buy tea, coffee etc.... More
