I tried to get on one of the courses advertised by Wye Canoes Ltd, 3 day open canoe course, as it seemed to meet my requirements. I sent them an email enquiring about the course as per the instructions on the web site and never received a reply. I've received newsletters from them via email ever since my enquiry more... More

We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy that you didn't get a response from us regarding your enquiry into our 3 day Open Canoe Course. We do endeavour to respond to all our enquiries within 24 hours or less, and we do that 12 months of the year. I’m afraid we cannot give you a reason why your... More

Thanks to Rowena's advice when choosing an appropriate trip we had a great time. A three day trip enabled us to cover about 45 miles, taking in great scenery, lots of wildlife, & a real get away from it feel to our adventure. Camping was great fun & we were blessed with two really sunny days & even though the... More

We were a group of 12 lads going canoeing for my stag do. My best man had had quite a difficult time booking this trip as only a month earlier a whole group of lagered up lads had got into difficulty on the Wye and required a full scale rescue operation to get them out the schtuk when the river... No complaints, very easy first canoeing experience, No fuss, hassles or pointless time wasting. All equipment was in good order and we thoroughly enjoyed the day! 1/2 day was perfect for a start but think a whole day would be better! Thanks Rowena, we will be back!

Enjoyed the canoe down the Wye. Booked for a day - half a day would have been a bit of a rush for us. Didnt like the fact that we had to carry out own canoe (heavy!) from the van, down to the river. I ended up with bruises on my legs. Otherwise, all was well organised and equipment was... More

Good way to spend a few hours, but unless you are a real enthussiast 1/2 day is plenty. If you are intending to get the hand ferry from the West side be aware it often doesn't run early enough for the 10.30 start at the canoe centre on the East side.

My girl and I hired a 2 man canoe for the day and we were taken in the minibus to Ross on Wye and spent the day lazily paddling back to Symonds Yat West. The guy in charge (didn't get his name, sorry) was excellent and really friendly and, thank God, didn't bore the pants off us with 50 minute... More

We chose the perfect weekend for a two-day canoeing experience on the river Wye. The weather was absolutely stunning and made the experience even more memorable. We were a group of 27 and had arranged to meet Wye Canoes at the Ye Olde Ferrie Inn (where they are based) at 9:45 on Saturday morning. It was a 10-minute walk from... More

We arrived to the Old Ferrie Inn for our pickup and half day of canoeing. As complete novices, we didn't know what to expect. After a lovely welcome, and preparation for our trip, we were transported up river to Kerne bridge, where we were to paddle back to the Old Ferrie Inn, and our car. We soon got into the... More

I heard of this attraction (and to be fair of this place) through Groupon, and we went a couple of weekends ago to enjoy a canoeing & hiking day. Everything was very well organised and the whole team make it such an enjoyable experience. We had lunch at Ye Old Ferrie Inn, which was delicious! The river is beautiful so... More
