This "leisure park" was down the road from the beautiful cottage we were staying in, it truly is awful rundown horrid place with a mix of camping and static caravans with a large metal hut in the middle housing worn out run down arcade machines. The fast food hut looked dreadful hell would freeze over before I would eat from... More

Lovely views and history of this area. Not suitable for those afraid of heights. We went in winter and this place would be really nice on a warm sunny day but we did have a nice walk and got lots of fresh air.

Stunning views from the park over the valley, even if you can't quite step out on to the viewing platform (like me!) - beautiful open countryside and we were lucky to have a hot, sunny day. We all made it down the very challenging woodland trail which is steep, uneven and a bit scary in places if you aren't sure-footed.... More

We went as a medium size group in the evening and found the bar had loads of games to keep us all thoroughly entertained....even if some of the clientele were a bit rough round the edges. There were 3 ladies (think they were the models for certain Viz characters) sitting outside as our group (of mainly men) entered the building,... More

While it is true that Symonds Yat is picturesque area of natural beauty the leisure/caravan park itself is a ramshackle run down dump and completely out of character with the rest of the area. Basically it consists of a rather noisy amusement arcade and it is in here you will find the toilets although on the day we visited it... More

Breathtaking views and beautiful scenery. The day we visited there were folks from the RSPB on hand to help you view various birds and their habitats. A small cafe is available and plenty of paths for hiking.

Terribly run down and tatty. Buildings damp and dirty. Really disappointed. Certainly not the Symonds Yat I remember from my childhood and I'm not that old! Really did not appreciate being shouted at to join the river boat trip either.

To get to the river you have to pay to park and walk through a sad tourist park. The amusement arcade was dirty and smelly. Typical rip off with prizes of very poor quality. The riverbank itself was littered. What a disappointment.
