We arrived, by boat, at short notice, after being let down by our planned accomodation. Despite having no booking, we were made very welcome. It's probably the busiest part of Symonds Yat, it's right on the river with decent camping facilities, and good eateries nearby.

This place is a big let down. It's just one big caravan park with nothing there but a large arcade. The boat trip is ok but avoid SymondsYat West and go to East but beware there is not much parking there.

Bought a combined attraction family day ticket for butterfly farn and maze with intention of doing butterflies in the morning and maze on way home after lunch with family. went here in my youth and it was a great location and spent many summer afternoon playing in this once great attraction. Sadly the place is a bit run down with the whole facility in need of a refurb. Boat trip will take you up and down the river Wye that is very pleasant. There also a maze close by... More

Popped by here after a stay at the National Diving Centre nearby in Tidenham. Hardly any of the machines worked and the staff were awfully rude when asked for help.

Symonds Yat West is a great day out for all the family when visiting Rhos-on-Wye. There is a nice circular walk which takes you round the river and at the end, you then you catch the little boat which takes you back to your starting point and for canoing, it is the best place to start from. There are also... More
