We were on Paros for a couple of days before taking the time to explore the old city of Parikia, and we were blown away when we finally took the time to explore it. It's exquisitely beautiful and has gorgeous old buildings, nice shops and an astonishing Frankish Castle set amongst the white Greek cottages. Parikia is well worth visiting.

Having opted for Paros as a second choice after Naxos, it had a lot to live up to. We found though that we really did like Parikia, just as much as Naxos Town. It offered a lovely place to stroll and explore and to walk off our evening meals. In fairness in October, it is very quiet. Many shops did... More

Without a doubt, this was our favorite place in all of Greece. Such a lovely, charming, clean little town with new adventures around every little turn. It's easy to get lost in the maze of winding streets, but that's most of the fun! Such great restaurants, and the beaches are beautiful, too.

It was not crowded! Bakeries, shopping, easy lifestyle. Nothing to dislike. Public toilets off main square but not marked.

Parikia has quite a lot to offer, more than just lots of ferry connections. Although it might seem busy at times even in low season (which is when we visit), just drift off the main shopping streets into the old town, mostly residential, for wonderful peace and quite and opportunities for photography. Lots of places to eat, shops to browse... More

We arrived in Parikia by ferry for a couple of days at the end of the season and thoroughly enjoyed wandering the labyrinth of narrow, winding streets behind the port. Delightful boutiques selling interesting and original items and beautiful cafes to enjoy a Greek coffee served in long-handled copper pots made this a lovely place to amble aimlessly. A wide... More

This is a small, romantic and lovely town. Its right on the harbor with plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes to simply relax and grab a coffee or a wonderful Greek meal. Work off the food by wandering the streets looking for that perfect souvenir.

You need to check out the church and the adjoining museum. It is well worth the time. While you are there, take the extra time to stroll through the alley lanes for shopping.
