I was completely satisfied with both the service and the quality of the vehicles used. I had 5 people in my group with luggage, so the most cost effective way for us was to use your service from the airport to the hotel to the seaport, etc. I would strongly reccommend your company to anyone. The drivers were courteous, clean... More

I had read reviews for private tours in Athens and had quotes from 3 very good companies but I chose to go with Vasillios although he was not the cheapest, but because he appeared to specialise in Cruise ship passengers only visiting for the day and we weren't disappointed! He personally replied all my enquiries in a timely manner. We... More

Our tour to Cape Sounion started off with our guide Petros meeting our little group outside the ship terminal right on time. The three of us were treated to a lovely drive and several gorgeous photo stops as we made our way to our destination. In addition, Petros explained to us the significance of this destination in the ancient world... More

We had a great day with Vassilious. Very knowledgeable about Athens and Greek history. Allowed us plenty of time to see the places we wanted to see and showed us some we would not have thought about. Took us to a lovely coffee shop in the morning. Used by locals rather than tourists. Lunch was at a superb local restaurant... More

Excellent email communication leading up to our visit. Even though Vassilios wasn't personally available he made arrangements for a different driver (Mr. Ioanni) to meet us at the port terminal in Piraeus and lead us in what turned out to be a thoughtful series of stops in Athens. Mr. Ioanni scheduled the stops in such a way that we did... More

Vassilio was wonderful. I booked a day trip to Delphi but he said it was pouring rain so he took us on a different trip. I enjoyed talking to Vassilio and get an understanding of Greek history and his modern day political opinions. Always nice to a some local flavor. Also, it's just nice to be driven around:-) Great choice... More

We found Vassilios Tours through TripAdvisor and highly recommend them. We took the Pelopenesse Tour with Petros and throughly enjoyed it. Petros was fantanstic, describing various sites on our way to each one, and took us to a wonderful restaurant in Nafplio. Petrol was very receptive to anything we requested. There can be a lot of walking at each site,... More

Vassilios did an OUTSTANDING job of showing us and our travel companions all the highlights of Athens, as well as giving us an excellent overview of the city and its suburbs. He is extremely knowledgeable of Greek history and provided interesting anecdotes about the various places we saw during our tour with him. We took lunch breaks both days, and... More

After being in Athens for only a day, as a family we were feeling rather overwhelmed by the sheer size of the city. We needed some guidance as to where to go, what we needed to experience in our brief time in Greece. This was the perfect way to get as much sight seeing in as possible, without a complete... More

Vassilios is like a Greek ambassador with a great sense of humor! He lead my family through a history lesson on the country while making us feel like we were his personal friends. If you visit the country, do not hesitate to call upon him. First class; not a question he could not answer!

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
