We toured this factory and really enjoyed it. I love behind the scenes type of attractions , and it was so fun to see where they make some of the world's biggest and best ships. My son was a Disney Castmember and liked the pride they took in building a Disney ship we had sailed on, too. The place was... More

I couldn't find an English tour and so with a small amount of German knowledge I was happy to go on one of the German tours. The idea of allowing tourists to see the construction of the ships is great but the way it is carried out could be improved. I would say the majority of people going there want... More

Meyer Werft have obviously spent a lot of money on their new visitor centre, but the impression is spoiled by having to sit through two very poorly made films. There is very little in the tour to show how a ship is designed and built, and too much emphasis on the luxurious living accommodation on board. For what is in... More

You must get over the fact the tour is in German only and make the best of it. 10:30am and 12:30pm on bus at stop on side of Rathaus. Get tickets ahead of time at Info Center on boat in front of Rathaus--tour lasts about 2 hours--easy to follow along if you cannot handle a little German. Ok to take... More

Do you know how to build a ship? You can see how to build the cruise ship inside the ship yard. There's only Germany guide but it's enough to see your self.

The guided tour takes you along the wharf. Not really much to see. Just some basic construction work. Might be a lot better when ships reach their final stage but at my visit there was hardly any visible activity.

After a visit to the Meyer Werft Shipyard all I can say is wow. The tour of the shipyard offered an insight into the building of a modern cruise ship. While there they were putting the finishing touches on the Quantun of the Seas, before heading to the ocean. If in the area the tour is a must.

Visited as an adult family of whom only one spoke German. On pre-booking over the telephone, and collecting tickets at the tourism office, no mention was made of the absence of English guidance on site, although the telephonist and tourism officer were otherwise helpful and spoke very good English. Upon arrival it became apparent that the guide was only going... More

We went to see the Quantum of the Seas leave the first dock. What an experience. The whole wharf is very modern and professional. The tour is nice and informative but we got a bit of an insight by an employee we knew. Anybody who likes boats and cruise ships, this is a must to see.
