This nature reserve is one of the oldest in Europe, but not doubt they have work hard to keep it up to date and it is one of the best thing to do if you are in this area. We were there early in the morning, at opening time. For about an hour we were almost by ourselves witnessing the... More

I went here with my family - husband and 16 year old son and the dog :) Dogs have to be kept on a lead but it is a huge area to walk around so the dog will get a lot of exercise :) We took a picnic and ate it along the way - we stayed for a couple... More

There is a small zoo with about 20 different types of animals in this park of which children could also feed the animals and get close to them if they liked. This park is huge. But you can choose to walk around the park or catch a small tour bus that will bring you around. However, the commentaries are in... More

After 2 weeks of intense site seeing, we were all a little tired of the crowds everywhere we went. We stumbled onto this zoo and it was the perfect end to our vacation. The animals were in large, natural enclosures and you could interact with many of them. It wasn't crowded and there were animals that I had never seen... More

It's ENORMOUS and I would advise you to take the bus that takes you round to see a wonderful and varied selection of animals. However, if you are told (in German) that you have 5 minutes to get off and look closer, then it means 5 and not 6, or you will be left behind!! The landcsapes are amazing, including... More

We loved seeing the meercats and penguins. Large area and the animals are well kept. Also very clean for an animal park

Different to your average zoo....felt like a trip back in time with some different animals such as Bison, wild boars. Covering a large area of beautiful forested land that you can walk around or catch a car train...only a short walk from our accommodation in the Sleeping Beauty Castle dodging hundreds of fairy tale frogs.

This park has a collection of not so special animals (i.e. horses, pigs, wisents, rabbits, sheep etc) and it is mainly geared to the younger visitors who do not care too much about that. For us the main attraction were the wolves. We never saw them from so close (just 30 centimeters away behind a fence). The park is priced... More

The park is inexpensive, has a great bbq area, nice restaurant, great information centre, small museum about animals from the area, a nice birds of prey- show and you get too feed the farm animals, the pigs, wild boars, deer, parakeets (loved the beaver, can't feed him though!)... great views of the castle, lovely restaurant at the entrance. Since it... More
