We were expecting something fantastic from this UNESCO protected church, but it is no better than many other churches in Munich. OK, it has a beautiful interior, but so have lots of other Catholic churches. My judgement of this church may be clouded by the fact that our coach tour only allowed us twenty minutes to walk up to the... More

At first not so impressive exterior of a large cathedral. Once you step inside--gorgeous interior. One of the most bright and beautiful interior of German cathedrals. If you are in the area of Linderhof or Neuschwanstein, it's worth your trip to see this one. Restaurant on the premise offers good German food also.

Close to some great castles, a must stop to see a grand church in a very rural location. You can also get some good German home cooked meals within walking distance on the church.

If your around, do not miss it! Very beautiful, spectacular craftsmanship. Incredibly beautiful landscape. Also visit the Welfenmünster down in the village of Steingaden, only a 5 min drive away.

This World Heritage site is impressive. A wonderful rococo church built without doing any re-modulation of a previous church. This means that the architecture is pure rococo and truly amazing to look at. Either I missed the sign (I did look carefully) or it is allowed to take pictures which in that case is a big plus.

Read about this small little church, and was excited to visit. From outside, it may look like any other churches that you see. But when you step inside... It's breath-taking! The interior is finished in Rococo style, with pastel pink, green... And you got to buy the book on the history at the entrance of the church to understand the... More

This is a great chruch, lost in the Bavarian countryside. The only drawback of the visit is that you have to pay for the parking eventhough you are in the middle of the fields, where parking is definitely not a problem....

Being someone with little interest in religion, and frankly not "getting" churches, I was blown away by Wieskirche. Its simple but beautiful. The entire building fills like a renwoned painting with the unique feature of not being underwhelming. The awkward bus ride makes it feel even more worthwhile. The effort required makes it feel like a true adventure that mirrors... More

This church has an ordinary exterior but really beautiful Rococo style interior. A fine specimen of the style, one should try to pay a visit as generally it is not as crowded as other attractions in Germany and if you are going to Fussen, you should try to pay a visit, especially if staying overnight in Fussen.
