I've been there several times, I make it a point to visit at least once a year. Glorious vistas wherever you turn. The botanical garden is best viewed in spring or summer. The people in the mountain house are always very welcoming, but if you plan to stay a couple of nights, call ahead. You can park your car in... More

Surely one of the most beautiful places in Croatia - been there more than ten times. Weather you just want to sit and drink beer on Zavižan (with elevation of 1645 m), visit Zavižan botanical garden, Hajdučki and Rožanski kukovi, take a look from one of many peaks or do the hiking tour - it’s place to be. It has... More

Trees, trees and more trees! Some amazing views over the sea, but a lot of the park is woodland, with no other outlook

Visited Velebit National Park in September. A friend and I did some hiking while staying overnight at the hostel. The view takes your breath away. You can see the islands and the sea. This is a must for all outdoor hikers.

So, maybe I am not realistic, but I find Velebit the most beautiful mountain in the world. The views on the seaside and countryside and protected area with stones at the same time are must see. You can sleep at Zavižan, Alan and other places for just a few euros and enjoy breath taking atmosphere everywhere you go. Just take... More

One of the wildest park in the balcans. For many years isolated much more than others, it gives a spectacular panorama of the north adriatic see , and a lot of internal paths . easily reacheable from the coast, you can try the street that starts from Jablanac a small beautifoul and wild road that leads to the heights. a... Our way was too long to describe it in one chapter! We slept in Senj in appartments Plaža. Next morning we started almost 300 km way accross the Velebit. FIrstly, we climbed to Krasno, where is a small shop, which is always opened. Than we continued to Northern Velebit National Park. The entrance fee is 45 kunas, but it lasts... More

National Park Northern Velebit - at this season is a great place for a leisurely walk, relax and enjoy in the beautiful autumn colors of forest, flowers and panorama that surrounds you. If you're lucky, except endemic flowers you may see rabbit and even a teddy bear:). Definitely climb on Zavižanj and enjoy in panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea... More

For me the most beautiful hiking trial is the 57 km long Premužić... More
