really enjoyed the pools once again. I would like to see more signage for the temperatures of the pools ( don't want to stand around and hunt for them in the dark when you are wet and it is freezing!) More

We went to the pools & spa in the evening and it was freezing, but it made the pools so much nicer to sit in and soak up, especially the hotter Sulphur pools... the smell of Sulphur is easy to ignore after a while. Hadn't visited the hot pools for a few years and so glad i have, can't wait to return. Loved the adult only therapy pools but also the lazy river & in fact all the pools. Please don't drive past make sure you go in and enjoy a soak. More

The pools are great any time of the year. I would suggest that if you are a traveller try and make your stay at Hanmer Springs mid week as the pools get busy Friday through to Monday. More

Visited twice when we stayed in Hanmer recently. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there. There is a wide range of pools and temperatures and it is open late which is great. If going later in the day, be sure to plan your dinner ahead though as not all restaurants in Hanmer stay open that late when it's not peak season. Found... More

Apart from the obligatory smell of sulphur this hot spring is a nice place. Some I've been to are just pools and that's it. This had lots of different temperatures and rocks and bridges you could swim around in the lovely war waters. Easy to visit from christchurch. More
