The pools are so refreshing and hot! Perfect for those who want a getaway from city life. Just lie in the pool and relax!

We found the place very clean, staff friendly and very relaxing after going on a long bush walk, happy to go back again

Visited one Sunday evening in late November, after having come back from a long walk in the mountains in the hot sun. This was the perfect answer to our aching joints, with a good 2 hours of relaxation spent in the hot pools. They vary in temperature - some are upward of 40 degrees, others a bit more comfortable, but... More

The pools are pleasant enough, the lockers are good, the cafe is fine and it all seemed quite clean, but I just felt ripped off. We went on Christmas Eve and they had decided to close at 7pm instead of 9pm. I appreciate that the staff have families and need a break like the rest of us, but you shouldn't... More

Having just climbed to the top of the beautiful Conical Hill lookout, I was looking forward to relaxing in the springs after. I was pretty disappointed - I'm not entirely sure what's meant to be particularly special about this place. It felt like a generic outdoor swimming centre. A bunch of plastic pools, either fresh water or sulfur, and none... More

After weeks of hiking this was a welcome relaxation spot. It was busy but not frustratingly so. The pools were great, especially the hexagonal ones and the hydro therapy ones.

Booked myself and 3 friends for a 1 hour massage at lease 2 months before our trip to Hamner Springs, all massages were confirmed, price given, and we were given an appointment time. When we arrived on time, we (2) of us were told, our appointment was only 1/2 hour, and they were too busy to fit us in for... More

An easy 1.5 hour drive from Christchurch, although there are many places to stay here if you prefer to be closer. The school holidays had only partially started, so we were easily able to get chairs by the pool, but in peak school holiday time it is probably best avoided if you're kid free and want a quiet day!! We... More

All the hotpools were definately appreciated in the cold weather we had when we visiited. Waterslides are definately worth while and really fun! Would reccomend spending more than a couple of hours there because you can get lost in all the different pools to experiance

All the family enjoyed the visit. The children (aged 10 yrs) spent hours going on all the slides whilst my husband and I relaxed in the hot pools. The weather was poor but thanks to the hot pools that wasn't a problem. If you have the time and money try out a treatment at the spa - wonderful!
