From the moment you walk into the spa you feel special. We had a pamper package which included a steam bath, a private pool and a massage and all were very enjoyable. The facilities were clean and modern and the masseuses were very experienced and professional. It was bliss! With this package you also have entry to the main hot... More

Perfect place for everyone, with family, single or couples. The hydrotherapy pool is as good as expensive massage for your neck and shoulders. Definately a place to visit.

The Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools & Spa is a perfect and relaxing way to spend a couple hours. With multiple pools, lagoons and places to relax it never feels that busy and is good value by spa standards. After visiting you feel relaxed and refreshed. Definitely recommended.

We really enjoyed our time at the thermal pools. We paid a little extra, quite reasonable pricing for a private pool. This was very private and quite relaxing. Very hot, make sure you stay hydrated. The public pools were relaxing and enjoyable.

This is the third time we have been to the pools and we enjoyed it as always - lovely and clean, lots of room, great waterslides and play areas for the kids, and it's nice to have the aquatherapy pools for adults only (as a parent taking turns with our daughter, it was great to have that time to myself).... Perfect place to relax and a great way to start a holiday, if like me, you are travelling to the South Island and your first stop after flying in to Christchurch is driving to Hanmer Springs (and I would recommend that!). As well as the heated pools and an amazing area for kids, they have hydro therapy pools and sulphur... More

This trip we arrived in sunshine, teenager enjoyed the slides and rapid river pool, we enjoyed soaking in all the other pools. Saturday was a bit congested - there was the softest hail falling from the sky which herded everyone towards the pools that were warmest. Really enjoy this location.

Spent a couple of hours in the thermal pools when we got to Hanmer Springs. Not too badly priced for a day visit. We loved the adults only pools and the hydro therapy pools were great. Well worth the money. Would love to come back when it's snowing!

perfect ending at the end of the day, very chilly in the evening walking between each pool, $20 entry, then you have to pay for locker hire, re lockers, they need a pen so you can write what locker they allocate you, if you forget you cant get in. they are currently re-vamping the area, bit of construction going on,... A fabulous spot and very relaxing. There are a range of adults only thermal pools including a sulphur pool that's 42 degrees. There are also plenty of thermal pools for the kids and a waterside. The price for a family is pretty good. A must do in Hanmer Springs.
