What a wonderful place for kids, families, singles, friends - just something for everyone. We visited towards the end of the day and it was quite cool when the sun went down, but the water was fantastic. For a family it would not be difficult to spend the day here. On the down side as a Kiwi I felt it... More

I went on at 10am on a winter's morning. Although it was cold outside this only added to the experience in the pools! When I visited a few pools were closed for cleaning and upgrading, this did not detract from the fun of the pools that were open. If you pay an extra $10 you can go on the flumes... More

A must-see in Hanmer Springs! Although extremely cold outside as in an open area and not covered, the pools were incredible and invigorating. Various pools to choose from with varying temperatures. Able to get passes for mutiple days or multiple visits in a day. Highly recommended.

Stopped here on our way through to Reefton from Christchurch. It's about 1-1/2 hours from Christchurch if you're a tourist and don't know the road which has lots of curves and hills. I can't remember the exact cost, but as we had no towels and had to hire them, it was around $50 for 2 of us. Locker hire is... More

I went to the Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools recently. They have been upgrading these pools recently, so the men's changing room closest to the pools was closed. My husband had to use the changing area nearer to the restaurant. They had only one of the octagonal pools available in order to save thermal energy. For the number of people there... More

The pools were fantastic, very easy to relax and unwind with so many choices and temperatures! The only negative is that I believe the ladies changing room could have been cleaner. I had treatments in the Spa and it was fantastic from start to finish. The staff in the spa were professional and friendly and the lady providing my treatments was... More

Many pools option and each one of them is clean. It was man made, because originally i thought the pool was natural, but beautifully arranged.

An excellent range of pools of varying temperatures and mineral content/aroma is on offer at quite a reasonable price. Although when we were there the weather was poor (cool, overcast and raining) the pools remained enjoyable even so, and you're wet anyway. Just don't stand around out of the water for too long.

Third time of visiting and love it. Okay not the fanciest of places but for the price you pay a very relaxing way to spend 3hrs of my weekend. Plus love the slides. Even though blowing a serious north wester resulting in you freezing every time you got out a pool or waiting for a slide. Still loved it. Thanks... More

My family went to pools twice in 24 hours ($85) and we noticed that not all of the pools were open, it was not such a issue during the evening visit but the following day during peak hour the pools that were open were jam packed with the closed pools just sitting there with signs saying "pools closed to save...
