This was a fun experience. There are a number of pools and private rooms to relax in. The private rooms are "rented" by the half hour---you can extend, and your choices are saunas, thermal pools, and steam rooms----$30/half hour. Prices for rest of the complex depends on age and if you want a 2 day pass. You will see all... More

We came a long way & spent a few days here while travelling NZ. A beautiful clean place. The hot pools were relaxing & the accommodation was ace. A wonderful experience.

The views of the trees and mountains as you sat in some of the pools was great. Had strong jets to massage your back and even your neck. Had fun activities for children too.

We thought this was real thermal pools however it is like going to an outdoor swimming pool. It would probably be nicer in the winter. The day we went it was very hot and swimming in 35 degree pools isn't exactly refreshing! Would be great for older kids.

This is on the top of my list for things to do in the cooler part of the year. Hanmer village is a gem, situated among North Canterbury mountains it is a 90 minute trip from Christchurch it is on one of the routes to Nelson and the West Coast. The hot mineral pools have been upgraded over the years... More

A visit to Hanmer Springs is a must for any visitors to Canterbury. It is a great place to visit with family, there are pools to cater for all needs, adults only, children's with playgrounds, rocks pools, mineral pools and of course the hydroslide and super bowl for those who want a thrill.

Great spot. Lots of pools around the park with different temperatures and elements in the water. Some with jets and a spa. Also they have a tube ride and two slides. All lots of fun. If you go to Hanmer this is what it's all about.

The main reason we went to the town was to go to the pools. A lot of fun even in the rain. Maybe a little expensive for retired people like us. Well maintained and supervised by the nice staff. You can stay as long as you like. Loved that little spinner in the change rooms that wrings the water out... More
