I have visited Wai Ariki three times now and each time one discovers yet another treasure! Today is was Bob- the pony. Bob joins a group of lucky and happy, relaxed animals -many of which you would never get to see close up- let alone cuddle, feed, pet, and share a seat with! It's hard to pinpoint exactly the majesty of this little... More

Wonderful little place where all in our group - a toddler, teen and adults, all had a great time. We took the time to have lunch in the Cafe and even though we were a group of ten we were really happy with all our options. The hosts were very helpful and quick to assist and we would recommend this... More

Spent a day feeding animals and having lunch at Wai ariki farm park when visiting Hamner, which we now see that is under new management. All animals were so friendly and happy, our favourite was the brown Alpaka :) food was great. overall a fun day out in Hamner!

4 adults turn into big kids during our visit to Wai Ariki Farm Park. Was great to see all the animals were well looked after and super friendly. The day before we visited a little black lamb was born. Mum wasn't taking to her so the owners were having to hand feed her. they were nice enough to let me... More

Great little farm with lots of animals to see - obviously well looked after, and used to people. We were lucky to be there in spring, so we got to pat lambs and see very young chickens. the cafe was lovely too, with very good coffee and fantastic home-made carrot cake!

We are a company from Christchurch who have twice now used Wai ariki Farm Park as a venue to wind up a corporate family weekend escape in Hanmer Springs. On both occasions Chris and Zara bent over backwards to accommodate our requirements for lunch and access to the farm park activities for our group. Nothing was ever a problem and... More

Popped along with my kids 10 & 8 and we had a ball. A great hour strolling through the beautiful farm petting and feeding animals was a great way to spend the morning. Patches the pig who opens his mouth to catch food, Licky the blind deer, the charming Cockatoos, the hilarious Llamas to the fluffy alpacas! Highly recommend!

I loved that kids could run around and you didn't have to worry about them. The animals were well looked after and happy. The owner explained at night most of the animals happily walk back to their paddocks at night and then walk back to the park inthe morning for their treats - they aren't silly. Best part was watching... More
