A lovely uphill, and therefore healthy, walk on a good path zigzagging its way up the hill with tantalizing views through the trees. The views from the summit make it well worth the effort, and there is a covered area to sit in the shade if you feel the need. A very enjoyable walk in the coolness of the trees. More

This walk is a lot of fun, but it is all uphill, and therefore a little bit of effort is required. It takes about 1/2 to 3/4 of an hour to walk up, depending on how fast you take it. Walked out of Hanmer and climbed the hill. The path zigzags up through the trees to a lookout point at the top with views over Hanmer. Worth doing for a nice walk and a pleasant view and should be OK for anyone with moderate fitness. More
