Girraween is a great place to visit for outdoors enthusiasts. We visited in May and spent a very enjoyable 3 hours climbing the pyramid and walking the other trails. There are some spectacular landforms to see and the creek is very picturesque as well. There is also a very nice picnic area which is a good place to relax and... More

Spend some time walking along the many trails. Most very easy to walk along. Great picnic area. A very different national park. More

Huddling around a campfire with a hot drink is a great way to stay cozy while looking up at the perfectly clear night sky completely free of light pollution. The walks in the day are fantastic. I... You can visit any season of the year and find the most beautiful wildflowers. The Junction is great for families if they wish to have a slide and swim, especially after rain. The views from Castle Rock and the Pyramids is out of this world. Take morning tea or lunch as you could sit there for ages. I could write... More

This is a beautiful little park, and the enormous sheets of granite give it a look very different from a lot of other SE Queensland national parks. The signage was a little confusing--we missed the circuit from the rock pools to the arch/Pyramids, because you have to go through the day-use area, and that isn't clear. On the bright side,... More

About 3 hours drive from Brisbane, this national Park is very accessible with sealed roads leading in to the main camping and picnic areas. In summer, the walks along the creek are popular to cool off in the rock pools. Longer walks include the pyramids for those comfortable with ascending steep and sheer rock slopes. If camping is not your... More
