Our vineyard was planted in 1999 and since then we have progressively increased our production to meet demand. We are two ex school teachers who made a tree change to the Granite Belt to grow grapes, make wine and open a cellar door. It’s a hands-on operation as all processes are completed by the two of us on site. We skillfully create regional wines that exhibit strong varietal fruit characters.

There were toys and fresh Verdelho juice for the kids, which allowed us grown ups time to taste the various styles produced there. The wine was good, the gentleman pouring the wine knowledgeable and affable, and it made for a great stop after our walk in Girraween National Park.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review about our winery. The gentleman pouring the wine is quite modest about his knowledge considering he is the winemaker and viticulturist. He is always keen to spend time with visitors to chat about wine and foster their enthusiasm for small producers such as ourselves. A great time to visit during vintage... More

This is a tiny winery but makes some very good wines. The owner is very well informed and a pleasure to chat to. Volunteers are used to pick the harvest, so when you visit, put your name on the email mailing list so you can be part of the fun.

We visited this vineyard as a small group after being referred here by one of the other vineyards (Summit Estate) said we should visit it. We weren't disappointed! A very small vineyard, the owner took us through his wines with enthusiasm and passion. I bought some of their Mourvèdre but was also impressed by their other wines.

Thank you for trusting the recommendation and visiting our winery. We do have time to chat and show you around the winery and yes, Warren is very passionate about his winemaking. I agree the Mourvedre is a great wine and on the whole, the wines are of a consistent quality each year. I hope we can treat you again on... More

For an experience like no other when visiting Wine Cellars, Pyramids Road Winery adjacent to Girraween National Park in the Granite Belt of Queensland is a must do. Owners Sue and Warren (Smithy) Smith will very proudly not only pour you samples of the beautiful wine they produce, but happily explain the process of making it, and if you are... More

My husband and I really enjoyed this vineyard. In fact it was one of our favorites. Warren the owner was very personable and spent a lot of time with our small tour group. He talked us through his winemaking philosophy, showed us the equipment and let us sample all of his wines, even bringing us some samples from the next... More

Some wonderful wines here. Particularly the Wattlebird Red and Mistella (those rose petals blow you away). We went on the Easter holidays after a bushwalk at Underground Creek (highly recommended) and the kids enjoyed playing with the dog and tasting the grape juice at various early stages of fermentation. Warren was very knowledgable and friendly. Will definitely go back, and... More

This was our second visit to Pyramid Road after being introduced to it by our friends the time before. We got a full tour, full tasting session and a great insight to winemaking in the Granite Belt. We will be back at the next opportunity, and in between times, there is an ordering service to top up on our favourites!!

Thank you so much for coming back to see us especially since you travelled so far to get to us. Although the Granite Belt is a small wine making region in terms of the national perspective, we do make some outstanding wine. At Pyramids Road Wines, we like to think we offer personalised service and unique experiences due to the... More

We have been to this winery a few times and it never disappoints. The most friendly welcome and the wine is lovely, so good we made a point of going that way home from the Hunter Valley to Brisbane - just to get a few more bottles of their wonderful Wattlebird Red! I would recommend this fantastic winery to all.
