In the heart of the "Beaches" tourism area, this mature, well-maintained PEI golf course has been in play since 1970. Designed by Robbie Robinson, it has a definite "links" feel that offers all golfers a true test of skill while still providing genuine enjoyment. « less

Visited last month and was a dissapointment. The course was in less than great shape because of the past winter but also because the financial backers are not putting money back into the course to bring it back to better condition. But by far what is lacking at this golf course is customer service. My friend and I visited on... More

We were delighted with the atmosphere of the clubhouse...helpful and thoughtful. This building overlooks the oceon and a provincial park and is incredibly scenic. Other golfers were most considerate about letting our twosome play through and the holes were challenging and in many cases, breathtakingly beautiful. I admit that the wind can be a factor especially when it is blowing... More

I like the Stanhope layout. It can be tricky on a normal day but when the winds pick up, look out for the small greens. It can be a bit of target golf on some holes but you can pull out the driver on many of the holes. Keep your ball dry and you'll do fine. The clubhouse could use... More

The marshall was absolutely correct in telling this party that it was not the the time or place for lessons.Imagine having to let more than one group through and you have not played 9 holes. I will put our Canadian hospitality against their Southern anytime. I have played golf in the south many times, especially Myrtle Beach, and they do... More

A must stop if you want to enjoy what PEI has to offer. This is my second time playing the course in the past year, and I can't believe the shape it is in this year. The price to play really doesn't compare with anything else on the island in terms of bang for your buck. The natural landscape is... More

A friendly golf course. It is not too difficult, but enjoyable to play.

By Far, Stanhope is one of PEI's Hidden Gems when it comes to golf. Located on the North shore only 20 minutes from Charlottetown, Stanhope is a challenging yet fair course to play. It plays to all skill levels and is very economical compared to some other courses on the Island. Great views and beautiful layouts on every hole. The... More

This classic links style golf course offers the best value currently on PEI. The course is kept in pristine shape and offers a variety of challenges on every hole. Greens are kept in great shape all year long and roll very good. The age of this course shows through in the beauty of mature trees and classic hole shapes which... More

I golfed Stanhope twice last year. Once early in the season and than again late in the year. Both times this mature course was in superb condition and offered an excellent round of golf. The scenic views on practically every hole offered a distraction if your game wasn't going how you would like. Great value for money.
