We visited Georgetown for 2 nights in July and went to the King's Playhouse on both nights. The first night was the Céilí which is basically an open mic night for locals to get up to play and sing songs. They serve alcohol and other refreshments and this is something that all the family can enjoy. There were people of... More

Wow, this was the best stage performance we have experienced in this theater. Funny, professional and not $30 pp as so many of the Small Halls were. It should come back next year to draw sell out crowds once again !! Dennis and Arlene :-)

We took my parents to see "The Drowsy Chaperone" last week and were incredibly impressed. The cast was wonderful (including 2 young actresses who went to high school with our own children!) and the performance kept us laughing all evening. It's great to see all the improvements that have been made to the old building, including a larger area with... More

I was lucky to have a ticket to the sold-old performance of the Drowsy Chaperone. Wow, what a great production! I saw the original caste of the Broadway show and the local talent is just as entertaining if not better for engaging the crowd. The setting is lovely - the King's Playhouse is intimate, confortable and very pleasant. A gem!

Took the family to this beautiful play house in Georgetown. We had a wonderful evening of laughter and entertainment. I would highly recommend making time to come see a show.

By total accident, wandered into town and took in the local production of The Drowsy Chaperone. Simply outstanding. OK, it was community theater, but the talent level was surprisingly high, the energy was terrific, and what an amazing building. The theatre itself is a truly wonderful facility. Well worth taking in.

We stopped by the King's Playhouse on our trip through Georgetown and the locals praised the operation. Since we could not attend a performance we visited the beautiful MacDonald Memorial Gardens where they feature the largest ship's wheel in Canada. We are about two weeks early before the flowers really strut their stuff, but we did see some very nice... More

Charming. It is a must see when on the Island. The playhouse itself is amazingly cute on the inside and they keep the gardens outside very pretty. The playhouse was very well run. Georgetown should be very proud of the playhouse.
