We have seen some really good performances here. And we saw one that was so bad, we left at the first moment that we could without disturbing others as we left.

Attend the Ceilidh to get a flavour of life in a small community. I had difficulty in rating it to the five-star system. Because the entertainment comes from seeing the whole, rather than individual musical performances, or the dancing. Importantly, you will be made to feel most welcome. You'll feel privileged to observe a way of life that might be... More

Our innkeeper (now owner) Melvin at the Georgetown Inn also performs at the playhouse and of course we had to watch the Drowsy Chaperone! The theatre was packed! It was lots of laughs, and everyone had a great evening. As we left the building for the nearby inn, we discovered that the all the cars were heading out of town!... More

This playhouse is located in Georgetown and it has a great following and staff who work very hard to keep this little theatre running smooth. The productions are great and with the new equipment it makes for a great evenings entertainment

Go to Georgetown for the Ceilidh. It is more of an open mic night for anyone that likes east coast and older country music. It is run by a great group of volunteers who really embody the spirit of community. For $5 you can't go wrong(includes coffee, tea, late night "lunch", encouragement to dance and live music). It starts at... More

We visited Georgetown for 2 nights in July and went to the King's Playhouse on both nights. The first night was the Céilí which is basically an open mic night for locals to get up to play and sing songs. They serve alcohol and other refreshments and this is something that all the family can enjoy. There were people of... More

Wow, this was the best stage performance we have experienced in this theater. Funny, professional and not $30 pp as so many of the Small Halls were. It should come back next year to draw sell out crowds once again !! Dennis and Arlene :-)

We took my parents to see "The Drowsy Chaperone" last week and were incredibly impressed. The cast was wonderful (including 2 young actresses who went to high school with our own children!) and the performance kept us laughing all evening. It's great to see all the improvements that have been made to the old building, including a larger area with... More
