Its a great package at pinery ...To start with the drive from first checkpoint to your campsite is really nature-istic ... loved it ... They have canoeing , kayaking, peddle etc... for water activity at the ausable channel. The trail besides ausable channel is worthy hiking .. Again the drive to the beach is also very good. Campsites are also... More

Such a cool provincial park. The swimming is brilliant..the kids loved jumping in the waves and played for hours on the beach. The trails were awesome..the sites are great...just beware of the poison ivy at some sites..the amenities are great..just had an overall excellent time at the Pinery...oh yeah some of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen:)

The second largest Provincial park next to Algonquin! Savanna Oak Forest, one of the last remaining. Miles of sand dune beach. Bike trails, the biggest ice cream cones at a great price, camping or just a day park, canoe rentals (cross country ski rentals too), open year round. Lake Huron has the most amazing sunsets.

I visited this park on a June afternoon in 2014. There are several hiking trails that one can take within the park, of varying lengths. The trail along the Old Ausable River Channel is a great opportunity to spot birds and other wildlife. You can also enjoy some nice wilderness scenery , including lush vegetation, along the aptly-named Wilderness Trail... More

Pinery Provincial Park is a gem of a place. It has excellent camping, as well as yurts and one cabin for rent. The many hiking trails visit interesting areas of the park. The beach is one of the best sandy beaches on Lake Huron in Ontario. It has a useful visitor center that provides environmental education on the park. The... More

I have been going to the Pinery ever since I was born, and it has always been a great experience. As for the comments on the bugs and what not, suck it up. You are camping OUTDOORS. What do you expect? If you can't handle it, then dont go. Enough said.

As a local resident, I have not spent much time in the Park. Only to visit and to provide transportation in and out. However, I have had a fine taste of this facility and give it the highest of marks. The hidden gem is the beach and it is even difficult to find. Please spend an afternoon, hiking or renting... More

If you plan to go camping please make sure to guarantee... More

We have been visiting the Pinery for day trips and camping for 30+ years! We are so glad that they are continuing to keep the park up and renovating. The washrooms have all been renovated in the last couple of years. It is a wonderful park for families, so much to do! Lots of trails, canoeing, fishing, biking, camping etc.... More

The Pinery Provincial Park is a great place to camp. The park provides access to Ontario's best beaches, offers a diversity of nature-based activities, and offers great educational and interpretive programs. Overall, a great place to spend time outdoors with family and friends. It's also a great place to test camping (for new Canadians, couples, etc.).
