While the food at this winery was excellent, well prepared, and served knowledgeably by Jasper, the portions are quite small and expensive for the size. You do have a pleasant view over the vineyard and the ability to sample the wines inside before ordering a bottle or glass with your lunch. Just remember you won't go away feeling full.

We stopped by for a wine tasting and lunch at the new restaurant facility. Tasted 9 wines which were all top quality, but broke the bank with the food. Skip the platter, which won't feed a bird. The 1 1/2" thick Pork sandwich should be renamed Cheese or Cheesy pork. Tasted good but very misleading. Hard to justify the big... More

Our first time to the Ponderosa Kitchen at Ft. Berens Winery in Lillooet. Having enjoyed their wines for the past five years, we were looking forward to seeing what Chef Dylan had planned for the menu. We were not disappointed! We had a delightful appetizer of gravlax, goat cheese and crustini, with pickled cucumbers. My husband had the chicken pesto... More

I grew up in Lillooet and visited the winery for the first time while back visiting my parents and I was so impressed with this place! The staff were super friendly and though it says you can taste 3 wines on the house with a small fee for more, they were more than happy to let us try as many... More

I've always been a big fan of the wines, but the new facility is fabulous and the new Restaurant is so great, we went back twice in four days!

My husband and I were the first to arrive for lunch at the Ponderosa Kitchen today. We are locals and very anxious to experience the introduction of food at Fort Berens. We were not disappointed. We began with the meat and cheese plate that came with fresh bread, and a variety of meets and cheeses. Not large portion, but great... More

Stopped by during a weekend road trip to the BC interior. Had previously ordered a case of their Governor General award winning 2012 Reisling so it was a must do stop. The new tasting room (opened in May 2014) is bright, modern, well organized room with a fantastic view of the local mountains. The tastings are accompanied with expert descriptions.... More

It's nice to see a business opening in Lillooet rather than closing! The winery is relatively new but they already have award winning wines. We bought their late harvest Riesling and a Cabernet Franc. A recommended stop.

This is a fabulous little winery that specialises in reds. It has some lovely drops, especially the merlot and the Heritage (a Bordeaux blend) and the Cab Franc has also won awards. In fact all their wines are worth a taste as you never know what will take your fancy. The location is beautiful, with plenty of outdoor seating for... More
