I was in Lillooet with a group of coworkers for a Thanksgiving getaway. We stopped in to Fort Berens for lunch and a wine tasting. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable, and the food is excellent. The wines are delicious and unique due to this being the only winery anywhere close to this area. The tasting room overlooks the... More

The menu is small but we loved everything we ordered. Fresh, local and delicious. The wine tasting was fabulous, with generous pouring. The views from the wine-tasting / restaurant are fabulous, overlooking the vineyard and the mountains. We'll be back!

Stopped to go to use the restroom on our way from Whistler to Clearwater. Welcomed by very friendly staff, who had no trouble convincing us a sneaky wine at a restroom stop was a good idea. We tasted the white wines, and were impressed by all of them, and walked away with a little souvenir! Having recently broken my leg,... More

What a great find this is. On the main highway people travel past this winery all day long, this is their bad luck. They need to stop and go in for one of the best wine tasting times I have tried. Set in the Frazer valley the scenery is stunning. We arrived quite late in the afternoon (we got side... More

Look out over the winery above the Fraser River for a delightful and awesome meal with a paired wine. The buzz of conversation is about the food preparation and presentation. Then add the flavourful wine pairing suggested by the knowledgable staff; all one can do is enjoy an amazing afternoon!

A friend recommended we stop by this place as our "eating stop" while making our way back to Alberta from Whistler. The interior was very simple looking and I was pleasantly surprised by the food. I ordered the Pesto and Chicken sandwich, which came with a small cup of soup and a salad of mixed greens. I loved that the... More

We had a great time at Fort Berens Estate Winery. Really enjoyed the wine we tasted and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Nice bright building. We'll definitely go back and next time we'll stay longer and try their food.

Its a beautiful vineyard with a stunning view and worth the stop. We had planned to stop and were glad we did. Wine tasting was a welcome treat and we enjoyed both reds and whites. My favourites were the Pinot Noir and the Reisling but I really enjoyed the Late Harvest Reisling - took 6 bottles home. And last but... More

A fairly new winery with some good wines. It is set in the beautiful valley of Lillooet on the road out towards Cache Creek. Very nice staff and we had lunch at the Ponderosa restaurant. Good food. Would recommend stopping here on your way through Lilloeet.

What better way to enjoy the drive between Whistler and Lillooet than to end it sipping quality regional wine in a gorgeous vineyard with freshly prepared food by an executive chef? Ensure a stop a around Joffre Lake and leave enough time to lounge leisurely on Fort Berens' large, covered patio. The pasta was divine.
