I had been there by ferry with some of my friends. It took around 2 and half hours to reach there, took lunch and spent around 2 hours. Food quality was average to good. Nothing to buy from the market there as all those are overpriced. The most pleasing thing was to see plenty of Seagull on the sky all... More

I had expected a dream island with smooth horse carriage ride with calm and quite weather over this beautiful island, but it turned out to be mad mad world.... with people and people everywhere, long serpentine queues for horse carriage ride which could make you stand in the hot scorching sun for hours together, no shade or fan; long queues... This was a pleasant day out from sightseeing in Istanbul. The ferry trip was about an hour long. The island itself has plenty of cafes/restaurants and also has a childrens play area close to the ferry station. The horse and carriage station is also close to the ferry station. The horse and carriage ride was very pleasant and relaxing and... More

Good choice in hot summer. Nice and cheap trip (with ferry and Istanbulcard). Good beach, pleasant wind, but not good swimming, too many jellyfish!

This place is very nice for short trips. It is very close to city center but you can feel yourself in the out of country. That is why I liked there to much. Espicially I can suggest Barba Yani restaurant for the Rakı and mezzes with the nice staff. Nice place to have some rest in the weekends.

You know, this place have nothing, but houses and stoney beach. The stones are very sharp and it's very difficult and pandul to step on them. Also to enter the beach you must pay. There are no cars. You can walk or pick a cart. I don't know what to do there. Many other beaches and islands are there in... More

We made the mistake of travelling on a public holiday and I understand the weekends are also very busy. 2 hour trip over was like being in a sauna on the Ferry. Loved walking around the streets but had a carriage ride as part of a tour and was shocked at the condition of some of the horses. Lined up... More

The 2nd stop of 4 islands. the entire island at least in the front smells like horse manure from all the horses being sleeved around giving locals and tourists rides. Stray dogs and cats all over the place just like all the islands. If you are going two come here make sure you stay by the pier where there are... More

If you're looking for something touristic and overly popular, i do not recommend Burgaz, you should visit Büyükada then. Burgazada is a small, slow and fascinating landscape that should not be passed by when one comes to Istanbul. when you step into the island, take a tour by walking first. see the original houses, trees with yellow, white and purple...
