Here you will learn about the values of the environmental reserve in a pleasant yet rigorously scientific way by visiting our Museum and our Tunnel of Historic Experience in which we travel through the most significant passages of southern Tenerife’s past.- The second part consists of a walk through the Nature Reserve itself (55 min), which is full of surprises, and will give you a clear idea of how the area’s inhabitants used to live. « less

I wonder how many people stay at the San Blast and miss this exceptional gem. It a weird and wonderful semi desert world, moon like, beautiful and bizarre at the same time. I trekked around it at lunchtime, so it was completely quiet, adding to the ambience, and used a map provided by the hotel. It is an amazing mini... More

We took a tour of the reserve from our hotel, the sandos san blas, which also included an interactive museum type experience which was done well. The reserve itself, just moments from the hotel, was picturesque and we'll worth the visit.

We really enjoyed all aspects of this tour, from the initial surprisingly 'Universal Studios' type experience inside the hotel through the walk and back inside for more detailed information shown as short films. Caution though, the paths outside are very steep and slippery in places. While the young guide dashed on ahead, some of us 'silvertops' in the group took... More

Used my Sandos reward points and booked this for me & hubby. Very informative and I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. If it's a hot day, make sure you take some water and sunscreen.

Some of the paths weren't as well signed as others. Parts of the terrain was a bit treacherous. Anyone with walking difficulties would be best going on hotel's guided excursion. The lake was much smaller than it appears on hotel's website. The sand rock formations and caves gave the area a somewhat prehistoric feel

Ventured on to the reserve whilst staying in the Sandos San Blas Hotel. Shouldn't have gone in the noon sun and only lasted about 30mins, but did enjoy what we saw with it's peculiar landscapes. Would try to do more next time.
