The reserve is situated in and near to the Sandos San Blas Hotel. The entrance to the preserved area of Guanches habitation is found within the hotel which was built around an original cave in which these nomadic peoples lived and survived the rigours of everyday life, before, during and after the conquest of the islands in 1496. There is... More

Great tour guides. Great museum tour - interactive and full of technology. The children were not bored. The outside tour was cultural, educational and steeped in history.

Based on Trip Advisor reviews, we headed here to see the Reserva Ambiental, but it was really the inside of a beautifully landscaped hotel. Something you would see in Vegas, but natural. It was overall nice, but disapointing based on reviews. To stay at the Sandos, it must be nice, but to walk through it, not so much. It is... More

2 hour tour around Barranco San Blas including video presentation and Historical Tunnel Experience. Operates at different times in different languages. Book ahead as it is very popular. We did the tour whilst staying at he hotel but it is open to the public. Guests can walk around the area at leisure but the tour is guided and includes audio... More

Part of the hotel. A gentle stroll around a unique archaeological feature. This is a side of Tenerife I was not aware of and although quite low key it is an interesting site.

If you're at Sandos San Blas, then you definitely need to visit the reservation! From the hotel it doesn't look much, but it's fabulous.

The scenery, geology, and cultural history of this reserve are fascinating. The guided tour is well worth the minimal charge, and independent access is also very enjoyable -- especially after taking the tour.

Enjoyed this tour, but it was rough underfoot and there were some steep areas. Went in December and it was very warm - must be boiling in the summer so wear a hat and take some water. The hotel says it is for all ages but I would not take young children on this tour.

Large area of sandstone carved by water to fantastic forms and shapes. A great canyon in the center with signs of being of ritual cult thousend of years ago. Many endemic plants and birds of Tenerife. Lots of paths make access easy. A "must see"! Guided tour is possible, but it is also nice on one's own.
