Brendan Casey, in this case, rather than St. Brendan, but an auspicious name just the same. Skellig Michael is about eight miles out in the open Atlantic, and transport is by small, open boat. We felt in good hands with Casey's.

My self and my girlfriend travelled to the skellig islands with Casey's. I was a bit anxious given my real fear of water and from reading the reviews on this website. The journey out was bumpy ( that's putting it mildly) but that just happened to be the conditions on our trip. It was a first for me on the... More

I only have to look at a boat to feel sick, so I was a little nervous. I took a stugeron travel sickness pill 10 mins before each departure and I was fine, even though there was a healthy swell once we were out of the bay. Brendan is a relaxed fella and a safety first kinda guy. You'll feel... More

We had an excellent experience with Brendan Casey and our trip to the Skelligs. The day we were reserved to go was stormy and the trip was cancelled. We were only in the area the next day and Brendan was kind enough to move things around to accommodate us the next day. The Captain and his crew were great. The... More

My family and I took a trip out to Skellig Michael the other day and had a wonderful trip. Brendan texted me the day before to let me know to come earlier as there was some weather coming in the afternoon. The crew was wonderful and the deck hand really looked after the passengers as some became sea sick during... More

This was a terrific experience and the Casey Boats people were excellent. It is about 45 minutes in a twelve passenger boat to get to the island/rock and the boat trip both ways was a good part of the adventure. The island is most impressive and the OPW guides explained everything very well.

This was my favorite outdoor experience along my road trip across Ireland! That's saying a lot considering we visited all the hot spots: Ring of Kerry; Cliffs of Moher; Slieve League; Giant's Causeway; etc. First off, the trip out to the Skellig Islands is half the adventure! The swells were at least 10-feet high and the little blue tarp that... More

We were in competent hands, with Brendan Casey, as we travelled rough seas to Skellig Michael and the boat ride was just the beginning of an unforgettable adventure. The experience of the trek to the top, and back, will be the first memory that will always come to mind when I think back on my first trip to Ireland.

This is a MUST SEE if you are the adventurous type traveling to Ireland. I was able to book everything online which was very easy and Brendan's wife returned my emails promptly which made trip planning from Michigan very easy and efficient. We paid in cash on the boat...just make sure that the price they quoted for you is the... More

My friends booked this tour a few weeks before our trip around Ireland. It was well worth it! We stayed in Portmagee and got to the harbour at about 9:00. The staff on the boat were very friendly and gave us little bits of info about the coastline. It was a fab way to see the West Coast! We had... More
