Come! Sail away with us on a memorable voyage. You will board our authentic Brigantine Thalassa at the picturesque old port of Fira.We will set sail for the small port of the volcano. When we arrive your guide will lead you up to the rim of the volcanic crater where smoke rises up and the stones are hot to the touch. Remember to bring good walking shoes and a hat to protect you from the sun.Leaving the volcano, our ship heads for the “hot springs”. There you can bathe in the warm waters (don’t forget your bathing suite and towel) . During the remainder of our voyage, we pass by Thirassia, where you have the chance to swim again in the blue crystal cleal waters while the captain and his crew prepare plenty of traditional Greek meze (appetizers) and you’ll have the chance to taste the renowned wine from Santorini. Next we come to the northern tip of Santorini and the town of Ia with its two small seaports Ammoudi and Armeni. From our sailing boat we have a unique vantage point for viewing the lovely traditional settlement of Ia. Here you can relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Then we will set the sails and head back to Fira enjoying the wine and live saxophone music as the sun magically sets into the sea.

My wife booked our afternoon/sunset sailing cruise on a recommendation by Chris at our hotel in Fira (the Enigma Hotel and Suites - best hotel ever!). Not only were we delighted with the walk to the top of the volcano, the stop for swimming in the warm springs, the delicious buffet dinner while in port on Thirassia, and of course... More

As a couple we spent a great afternoon aboard the Thalassa. We didn't fancy the swim as the sea was still too cold in May for this warm-blooded wimp, however the climb up the still smoking volcano was fascinating and being at the centre of Santorini complex of islands made sense of the history of how the eruptions and earthquakes... My Husband and I had a fun afternoon and evening on board seeing the islands and surrounding area around the caldera and volcano. My Husband enjoyed the walk up to the volcano and a swim in the hot springs. Then we had a delicious buffet dinner, watched the sunset while listening to the saxophone, had a bit of a sail... More

We had a great day out on the Thalassa This excursion really is value for money. The ship is fairly big so not too packed which is what we wanted. The volcano walk is ok ..If you have seen one they all look the same however at least you get some exercise. Ideally you will need trainers for the hike... More

This is a great excursion if you are staying in Santorini. You'll get a good bit of exercise on the volcano walk and learn about the formation of the islands. You'll be able to swim in the Aegean Sea and finally you'll see the sunset with the sails up. All the boat crew were friendly and fun. Nadia our guide... More

We were tendered on our cruise ship for the afternoon and decided in advance not to fight the crowds to go up the hill. So pleased we planned in advance. we had the most amazing trip. All on time and the captain even brought us back in time for the last tender to our cruise ship. The crew were fabulous.... More

If you have limited time in Santorini (or even if you have plenty of time!), you should definitely consider this trip as it covers so much in just one afternoon/evening. The Bella Aurora and Thalassa are replica brigand ships which take in the coastline of Santorini, stopping at places of interest on the way. They're impeccably maintained and you can... More

We went right at the end of the season, start of October. Yet still the temperature was still pleasant enough to enough all the activities on the trip. Such as walking up an active volcano, taking a dip in the sea and natural hot springs. Just make sure you bring warm clothing for after so you can wrap up warm... More
