Sail away with us on a memorable voyage. You will board our authentic Brigantine Thalassa at the picturesque old port of Fira.We will set sail for the small port of the volcano. When we arrive your guide will lead you up to the rim of the volcanic crater where smoke rises up and the stones are hot to the touch. Remember to bring good walking shoes and a hat to protect you from the sun.Leaving the volcano, our ship heads for the “hot springs”. There you can bathe in the warm waters (don’t forget your bathing suite and towel) . During the remainder of our voyage, we pass by Thirassia, where you have the chance to swim again in the blue crystal cleal waters while the captain and his crew prepare plenty of traditional Greek meze (appetizers) and you’ll have the chance to taste the renowned wine from Santorini. Next we come to the northern tip of Santorini and the town of Ia with its two small seaports Ammoudi and Armeni. From our sailing boat we have a unique vantage point for viewing the lovely traditional settlement of Ia. Here you can relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Then we will set the sails and head back to Fira enjoying the wine and live saxophone music as the sun magically sets into the sea. « less

After researching and reading about this sunset cruise on TA, we knew this was a must on our to do list during our stay in Santorini. We were not disappointed! The tour began at 3:30 in the afternoon. We took the cable cars down to the ship, which was an experience in itself! Once on the ship, the crew and... More

We knew this was an attraction to not miss during our honeymoon to Greece. I had researched multiple companies that all appeared to offer the same stops, length of time and food/drink but did not commit to any single one until arriving to our hotel in Imerovigli, Santorini. Our hotel handled our reservations for the sunset cruise on the Thalassa.... More

My husband and myself were in Greece last may and after Mykonos we found Santorini quiet dull and boring. But the whole Thalassa Experience totally changed our view. The feel begins right when you go down to the Imerovigli port with a cable car, to board this beautiful majestic ship. They have a planned itinerary, set so perfectly, you just... More

One of the best excursions we ever made. Beautiful boat, great scenery (you should not miss the experience to see the island from the sea!), delicious buffet with local appetizers and wine. Swimming in Thirassia was an unforgettable experience, we've nener seen such dark blue and crystal waters, absolutely amazing and refreshing! Setting sails outside Oia felt a bit like... More

A great day out, we were really looked after. Sunset with saxophonist a nice touch. The food was good, drinks not included in price but there is a bar on board.

My husband and I are here in Santorini on our honeymoon. We researched several of the sunset cruise options that are available. We definitely believe that this was the best priced complete package. You will get the best bang for your buck on this ship!!! The boat reminds me of the "Black Pearl" from the Pirates of the Caribbean movie.... More

Booked a 6-hr. sailing online on The Thalassa through Santorini_Cruises.com. A 3-mast "tall ship" picked us up at Old Port in Fira at 2:30 pm. Sailed over to Nea Kameni (the new volcano). Walked to top of volcano with guide--very interesting. Views of caldera, Palea Kameni (old volcano), Aspronissi (white island), and Thirasia were great. Sailed next to swim in... More

Fantastic crew!! They deserve all the credit they are getting. Christine was an excellent guide and the 2 gentlemen on the boat were extremely friendly. Our trip wasn't very crowded and as Christine said it was almost like a private cruise. The ship looked majestic specially when the sails were opened and it was fun to hear the Pirates of... More

While staying in Santorini, Astra Suites recommended a sunset cruise on the Thalassa. It was an old-school type pirate ship that sailed over to the active part of the volcano, around to hot springs, and up near the town of Oia for a fantastic sunset viewing. Despite being one of the hottest days of the year in Santorini, Christine (our... More
