If you are going to Mahabaleshwar, do visit this temple. The Shivlinga over here is unique in terms it resembles a 'Rudrakasha'. The temple is believed to be made by Pandavas some 5000 years ago. Won't take much time to visit here. Do visit if you are going with your family.

There is not much rush when we went there, but then it was not a weekend or public holiday. You can leave your foot ware just outside temple and you can carry your mobile with you. But taking photos is not allowed.

The Mahabali or Mahabaleshwar Temple is another example of the Maratha heritage of Mahabaleshwar. Built by the Chanda Rao More dynasty in the 16th century, the temple is built in the South Indian Hemadanta style of architecture.

This temple is the reason for name of the town. Mahableshwar was the home of a demon named 'Mahabali'. Old architectural building.
