The Mahabaleshwar Temple is a MUST VISIT - and not necessarily for the religious The vista is brilliant, as is the very very peaceful environs of the temple complex. The calm within the sanctum sanctotum, the orderly movement past the huge Nandi, and the irresistible urge to murmur a prayer in its ear on the way out - all add... More

This temple has Shivlinga in form of natural stone looking like a big rudraksh bead being worshipped , kept clean relatively. Recommend should be declared as a heritage site and should maintained for our next few generations to witness it.

The temple in located in old Mahabaleshwar on an elevation. It's some 400-450 years old and preserved beautifully. One can find peace and forget oneself in the aura that the deity spreads around, a few minutes walk away is Panchganga temple the water there is hundred times better than any mineral water Indian or imported.

This temple has its own history of 5 rivers flowing through the temple. Krishna, Gomati,Kaveri,Koyna & Veena. It is a large complex having an ancient temple of Lord Shiva and various other Hindu deities. There are various small shops outside the temple from where you can buy various cheap and best local eatables, syrups etc. In all, a must to visit place.
