Rich cultural history attached to this temple. A little far off from the city but the road leading to the temple has directions which makes self driving comparatively easier.

Stark contrast to today's temples which have become more like shopping malls. It only has 2 reservoirs- one for washing hands and feet, and the other where the rivers flow. Entire temple is made of rocks and is thankfully- neither painted, nor excessively decorated. The Shiva temple can get very crowded, its best to quickly finish darshan and move out... More

this is a place where 7 rivers bring in their water. the shivling in this temple is very old and this temple holds great religious value, it is made up of black stones. the arrangements to remove the foot wear and enter the temple in a queue are very good.

Mahabaleshwar Temple is a very old Shiva temple from which Mahabaleshwar derives its name. Very peaceful once you visit this temple.

It is one of the holy places in Mahabaleshwar. Water from five different rivers that is the Koyna, Krishna, Venna, Savitri and Gayatri join in this place. The architecture is worth viewing because it is supposedly 600 years old! Lots of options available for shopping, specially handicraft items.

The temple is clean. Can be a bit of a problem to visit when it rains. However, shelter from the shops on the way will help a bit.... More
