Well history of the temple is written outside the temple itself. Neat and clean and almost peaceful inside this temple. Architecture of this temple is almost similar to the neighbouring panchgana temple and krishnabai temple. It's said that Shivaling is of Rudraksha at this temple which I couldn't see unfortunately because the Lord was heavily adorned with flowers around HIM.... More

Visit: July 2014 This was one of the many visits to the Mahabaleshwar but first time I went to the Temple. Temple is clean and well maintain. The ling is in Rudraksh form, something different and quite rare to another place. On one side it's a hilly area, being in the rainy season, experienced fog and bit rain. Food stalls... More

The temple is not at all well maintained. Given the historical importance and faith in god; the trust should take care of the devotees. The place around temple also needs serious uplift.

1) The divinity, sanctity and serenity of the temple will assert itself. Can be enjoyed more depending on one's own involvement. 2)The pujaris are extermely monotonous.

Nice little trip to this Shiva temple - make sure you reach before 9 am - it gets crowded later. There are other temples and gift shops around it. You get some good stuff in these.
