Most of the tourists do not visit this peak. After parking the car You have to climb for 5 minutes. From there we can see full mahabaleswar and green forest everywhere around.

We reached the end of the road to Connaught Peak and were the only ones there. It was completely deserted and there were no signs directing us to the peak from there. Therefore we turned around and drove to another point

Connaught peak, one of the highest points in Mahabaleshwar in inland and not on the edge of the Mahabaleshwar hill. The photo displayed by you is incorrect as it shows the needle hole point.

I was advised to go to this point, but once I reached there was surely disappointing. THis palce has nothing but a patch of land covered with some trees, no great view

Reached there in time to watch the sunset. Beautiful view. Final part of approach road is a little difficult to cover. Poorly maintained.

It offers best panoramic view - Old Mahabaleshwar, Pratap Gadh, Mahabaleshwar, Kate's Point et al, Panchagani, Dhom Lake (& may be more which I could not identify) Way to peak is interesting little "jungle walk". However be careful with steps. I wish they could do better job than this for simple staircase building.

View from Connuaght peak is excellent but this Connaught Peak is bit secluded and difficult to reach when compared with other attractions in Mahabaleshwar. I will not recommend if you are travelling with elders or young kids. There were facilities available at this point.

You get a bird's eye view of Mahabaleshwar from here. There is a motor-able road leading to the point but you have to climb about 50 steps to reach the top, but it's well worth the trouble.
