The worst sunset point I have visited in my life. Don't know why on the earth it is referred to as the sunset point when you have other points (like the Arthur Seat / Elephant Head points) from where might get better view of the setting sun.

At the location, there is so much crowding that it is impossible for you to see the sun set peacefully. Most of the time there are clouds hence the sun gets obscured. Horses in the area are so many that you dont get a place to stand. Foul smell of horse dung also is overpowering which puts your mood off.
This particular point should be calm and peaceful,as people come to see the sun setting.but here people posing with horses and playing games eating and making lot of nuisance which gives bad taste of watching sun sets......
In particular months the shape of the sun changes frequently just before sunset. Find a place at least half an hour in advance. Parking is a pain.
Its far too crowded with about a zillion people showing up to ride horses, eat some random snacks and ah yes, also view the sunset. My suggestion - get in just before the sunset, click your pics or whatever, and hightail it out of there before the hordes descend on the parking lot. Avoid all the food there, mostly lousy.
Beautiful view of the sun going down slowly behind the hills...The entire sky becomes red after sunset and remains that way for some time...You better go early there to palce yourself in the front to view the sunset ..as it becomes very crowded
One of the most famous and the most wonderfull spot in the whole of maharashtra.. Best time is to visit early in the morning... If you are a nature lover this is a must visit if you are travelling to mumbai... Best place for family get together...
we reached there on time just before sunset and there were lot of people at that place taking pictures and waiting for the sun to set. the pictures taken from there have come really good and beautiful.
This point has been historically called Mumbai Point as its located on the the old Mumbai road which is not relevant now. Also better sunset views are possible from other places.including the resort where I stayed. The point needs to be renamed. Place is not recommended for visit
It's supposed to be the best place to catch a sunset. But with the massive crowds, and the haze in the sky, one barely gets to see anything set except expectations.
