The compound is full of trees and is very peaceful. Lot of older residents spend their time on the benches here. There are a lot of dogs, squirrels and birds here. It gives an ancient heritage vibe. The small maze outside the temple is more of a simple one way entry and exit. The height of the walls is hardly... More

It is like an ordinary temple and nothing special about this. There is one giant maze outside the temple. It is said that one who crosses the maze will get rid of all sins… I never tried it….

The temple is beautiful, calm and quite. It is one of the attractions in Porbandar. The temple is named for Sudama and you can't see anywhere Shri Krishna in this temple whose one of the best friend of Sudama.

The importance of this temple lies in the story of God Krishna and his childhood friend Sudama. Sudama remained poor because he had eaten Krishna's part of rice while both had been sent to jungle by their guru 'Sandipani' to bring firewood. That was a rainy and cold night. Gurumata had given Sudama some dry rice for both of them.... More

This place is a kind of a park which is not well maintained. Place is littered with plastic bottles. It has a small temple which is called Sudama Mandir at one corner. It is park where most local folks come to spend there time.

I had the darshan on 15.10.14. It is a historic site. I felt moved in visiting and having dar shan of only Sudama temple. But no cleanliness in the complex it should be improved. It is must to visit in porbandar.

The place where Sudama lived and from where he walked to Dwarka by foot to meet Lord Krishna. It is nearby to Gandhi's birth place so you can visit if you are in porbandar.

Not too far from Gandhi's birthplace is the Sudama Mandir. Sudama was a friend of Lord Krishna. I'm not familiar with the total story but somehow there is a maze involved because the pilgrims walk through a maze before approaching the temple. Go check it out. The Sudama Chowk surrounding the temple is a bustling market. As a tourist I... More
