We walked up to Bridge Road to do some shopping on Sunday while visiting Melbourne for The Eagles concert. My memories of Bridge Road were of having trouble deciding where to buy from. Now the difficulty is find a shop that's open and not empty/for lease. I would estimate only 1/3 (if that) of the shops were open - and... More

This used to be a great shopping location. Now there would 30% occupancy. A few shops still left, Zu is a good shop to go to. Allanah hills is still there and worth a drop in. A lot of $10.00 shops that are pretty junky. Review is there but same prices as spencer outlet. Actually very sad to see the... More

Lots of stores have closed down, but there is still plenty to choose from and great bargains to be found!

Bridge road is long past its hey day. There are only a handful of stores which are not worth the trip. Most of the street is vacant. Don't bother!

I agree with the consensus: Bridge Road is not what it used to be for clothing bargains and fashion outlets. I used to be a semi-regular who began my browsing adventure at the city end and progressed along as far as the Town Hall. These days I'm more inclined to investigate what's on offer beyond the Town Hall, in the... More

We were advised not to bother with Bridge Road when we visited Melbourne at the end of November 2014. However, we decided to 'risk' it and ended up having a great day. We found some real genuine bargains with Converse High Tops the top buy at $30! Yes there are many shops closed but we enjoyed Bridge Road and the... More

We read a previous review that said it wasn't worth it - but decided to give it a go anyhow. Most of the shops have cleared out or are in the process of doing so. There was only a few (literally 3) worthwhile shops to go into. Not like it used to be which is a real shame.

There used to be a time when everyone had to go to Bridge Road to visit the dozens of factory outlet shops. to our surprise when we went to Bridge Rd there were so many vacant shops it was, sadly for the retailers, not worth the exercise. Where have all the shops moved to one asks, well it appears that... More

Bridge rd used to be the only place to go for bargain shopping and factory outlets, sadly it's not as good as it used to be. It's still worth a visit but don't expect to find heaps of bargains. A lot of the bigger shops simply seem to have normal sale stock that you'd find in any major shopping centre.... More

We have been coming here regularly for 20 years but alas not for the last 3-4, well time does weary the strip, many vacant shops, looks quite tired with mainly the tried and tested main stream brands holding out....but for how long. My spies tell me Swan street is benefiting but that will have to wait for another time
