So much to do here, do yourself a favor and don't cheap out on the number of days you plan to stay (minimum 3 nights). Poco azul and poco encantado, while more touristic... are well worth the visit. There is nothing like swimming in a cave of beautiful clean clear water. Nothing.

You will need a guide to fully appreciate the park and get around. Although some people were hiring cars and doing it themselves, but we appreciated our guide s he knew the roads and as the weather wasn't great in the morning we changed our tour to take in the caves first while it rained and then we did the... The Chapada Diamantina is a great national park, in which you can roam for a couple of days. I stayed there in February 2014 and was impressed by the beautiful nature and the impressive scenery. Please note that the infrastructure to reach the Chapada's beautiful scenery is poor... And therefor it's so great to visit it! Hope this park will... More

There are so many different sites to see throughout this vast national park. If you're going there and don't have your own car, make sure to get on a tour that takes you to various sites, including waterfalls, caverns, pools, valleys and natural water slides!

You will definitely need at least 4 days to visit nice places of the park. From Lençois you can book different tours depending on what you prefer !

If you are going to Chapada Diamantina, Capao is the place to be. You will have lots falls walking distance and the town is full of energy. We found a new camping just next to everithing called GANESHA. Here you have lots of fruits you can just grab from the trees and cool people in common kitchen.

Its quite a bustrip (8 Hours) from Salvador but totally worth it. The park has some amazing views and it will show you a different side of Brazil. The people of Lencois are one of the most hospitable people I know !

The multi day treks are said to be great. I went on a one day trip, highlighting some of the sights fairly close to Lençois. Nice enough, this is overpriced, while, in my opinion, only two parts of the tour are worth the trip. The first was a superb lunch, the second the view of the table mountains.

We ended up staying a week, including a 4 day treck through the park. Tours are a little expensive but when you factor in the costs of the posadas in the middle of nowhere it's really not so bad. We booked with Zen tours for our day trips and the hiking as they had the best prices by far. The... More

Stunning scenery, extensive trails, and a great way to disconnect! I did the Vale do Patí trail in 3 days, 2 nights and it was amazing! From hiking through valleys with amazing views of plateaus, ascending thick jungle vegetation, passing through caves, summiting impressive rock formations, swimming in iron-rich black water holes, and frolicking below waterfalls the trek was exhilarating!...
