We stopped off late on a Sunday afternoon for a quick wine tasting and was fortunate enough to spend 15mins or so of in the company of Murray, the owner of Platinum Bench. He is very passionate about his wines and his vines and created a nice atmosphere to taste his wines. The Gamay was brilliant. Don't miss this one!

"FIONA BREAD FOR TWO!!!" is music to my ears! Murray shouts this to his wife (the baker) when you come in for a tasting for two. It's a small place, my guess 3-4 years old. But you can not miss it! One tip, if you like it buy it NOW! We filled our 4th case and were flying home, so... More

yes there are lots of vineyards to explore and many with great wine. Platinum Bench offers just a bit more fun with amazing wines. It was a planned event to buy their vineyard in-between Black Hills and Burrowing owl. Wally the vineyard dog will make you laugh and his Mr. October calendar page is posted proudly in the tasting room. Do... More

Everywhere we went, people talked about how great it is to eat the fresh bread and cheese and drink the great wines a Platinum. It is a rustic log house, a small kitchen and bar and a small but nice deck out back that looks out over the marsh area of the valley. It LOOKED great. Unfortunately, we could not... More

This winery also makes it's own artisan bread and tastings are paired together. Taste, buy and have your own picnic at a nearby view point or lake.

Everyone writes about Fiona's bread and they should, but this is a winery. Never had I found a gamay to push away a merlot. Before this visit I would say no to a Beaujolais even in France. I bought the Gamay Noir. What a surprise. That and some of that bread is a complete meal.

Artisanal bread, indeed! We bought a couple and wow were they good! Possibly the best bread we have tried in Canada. Well worth stopping and buying some. And it would go down nicely with a glass of red. It would be great to grow the range of bread offerings.

I did enjoy tasting the wines but I totally understand why the bread gets sold out....it is delicious. Coming to this winery after being at Black Hills, it's such a different atmosphere, it's small in the tasting room, crowded, bit noisy, it's great, I love that contrast that we have in the different wineries in the Okanagan. The tasting was... More

Our second visit to this winery proved to be better than our first. The personal touch provided by Murray is second to none. The breads you receive for pairing are outstanding. Its refreshing to be served by someone who loves his job as much as he does. The best part of the visit was the best REDS in the Okanagan!

Friendly staff and beautiful scenery, I wish that they did wine-tours throughout the day instead of early in the morning and later on in the evening. What makes this place great though.. the bread, I can't even tell you how good it is in words. I wasn't a total fan of their wine (They specialize in Dry wines) but ended... More
