Black Hills takes a different approach to their wine tasting than most of the wineries in the area. You can opt for either a $10 or $20 tasting, led by an experienced person, with more generous pours (though we did get a complimentary Alibi pour while we debated doing a tasting). Most of the wineries in the area don't charge... More

We stopped and had a quick wine taste, my friend purchased a bottle, I loved the fountain and seating areas. It is very classy and a beautiful lay out.

Went here to taste the Carmenere specifically. They have a different approach. For $20 a person you get to sit down and taste 3 white and 3 red. They are presented by someone highly qualified, not the usual serving personnel you get. I felt bad spitting out the generous pours and at the price. Wines were very good and very... More

We had the Portfolio Tasting here which was $20 for 6 two ounce pours and the wines were fabulous! I love the beautiful pool terrace and the Noto Bene was excellent! I highly recommend this winery!

Black Hills is a very relaxing and elegant winery! If you have a couple of relaxing hours to educate yourself on the grapes and the process of making the wines this is the place! A nice pool and great view sets the ambience perfectly for this "experience"!

We had an amazing stay at Black Hills last July! We experienced a memorable vertical of Note Bene that was fabulous! The food is excellent and the setting is outstanding. Even the picnic tables have channels cut out and filled with ice to keep the white wines at the perfect temperature as you enjoy the food and ambiance! Take a... More

We did a "portfolio" tasting - a tour through all of the current offerings from Black Hills. Every wine was very well-made and true to the description from a knowledgeable guide. The pace was perfect for a seated tasting on the patio, looking out over the vines. I was, as always, blown-away by the Nota Bene, a perennial favorite. I... More

We went for a Oliver winetour and felt the Black Hill tasting was outstanding. The wines we tasted are to be remembered and the staff treated us like VIp's. Took a tour of the winery and loved every minute of it. Sitting by the poolside enjoying the view. We felt is was worth spending the time and relax during a... More
