Black Hills is a very relaxing and elegant winery! If you have a couple of relaxing hours to educate yourself on the grapes and the process of making the wines this is the place! A nice pool and great view sets the ambience perfectly for this "experience"!

We had an amazing stay at Black Hills last July! We experienced a memorable vertical of Note Bene that was fabulous! The food is excellent and the setting is outstanding. Even the picnic tables have channels cut out and filled with ice to keep the white wines at the perfect temperature as you enjoy the food and ambiance! Take a... More

We did a "portfolio" tasting - a tour through all of the current offerings from Black Hills. Every wine was very well-made and true to the description from a knowledgeable guide. The pace was perfect for a seated tasting on the patio, looking out over the vines. I was, as always, blown-away by the Nota Bene, a perennial favorite. I... More

We went for a Oliver winetour and felt the Black Hill tasting was outstanding. The wines we tasted are to be remembered and the staff treated us like VIp's. Took a tour of the winery and loved every minute of it. Sitting by the poolside enjoying the view. We felt is was worth spending the time and relax during a... More

This is my second time at black hills and I will be returning again. I am never disappointed! It's a cute patio atmosphere with killer views. The staff is always so friendly and knowledgeable. This is a must see in your wine tour list! I look forward to next year!!

My Caveat: I review wineries with the assumption all Okanagan wineries are worth visiting because of the wine. So, my comments have to do with the other qualities of the place. This unique and beautiful estate winery is one of the ones you should not miss, as long as you are prepared to pay for the tasting. Most wineries are... More

Black Hills prides itself on producing Bordeaux type wines, which they do but personally I find them a tad expensive. They also include a Carmanera in their basic Intro Tasting but you can't buy it as it's only for their wine club. So why offer it to taste then? Ah, but their pizzas are simply magnificent; the best I've ever... More

We really enjoyed the experience of the hour plus long wine tasting. Kimi was exceptionally talented and knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed the information she gave us about the wines. The different wine glasses we used, the wonderful cheese plate with olives and the beautiful setting made for a very romantic, calm and flavorful experience. Will recommend this to anyone... More

I am a member of the red wine club, but had only tasted the Note Bene. We sat out on a patio overlooking a water feature and the valley and were served wine tastings in 6 different glasses, with a fabulous wine expert explaining these all wonderfully. We sat out in the sun, feeling special and enjoying the experience. Such... More
