With first vintage released in 2005, Le Vieux Pin is situated on the famed Black Sage Bench in Canada's only pocket desert in the South Okanagan Valley of British Columbia. Le Vieux Pin is named after the majestic old pine tree in their Oliver vineyard. Canadian wine industry considers Le Vieux pin the leading Syrah and Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne producer in BC. The wines capture the essence of French winemaking tradition, but with the fruit and character of the New World. Le Vieux Pin is dedicated to making wines that are elegant and focused, with stamp of time and place. Along with their sister winery, LaStella, they have upwards of 50 acres of prime vineyards in Oliver's Golden Mile and Black Sage Bench, as well as the Osoyoos Lake district. In their commitment to excellence, Le Vieux Pin practises low input viticulture and sustainable farming, employing deficit irrigation to achieve very low yields and complex, concentrated flavours in their grapes. The winemaking philosophy is non-interventionism in approach. These fine wines can be sourced in many restaurants and fine wine merchants across Canada, Japan, Hong Kong, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden and Holland. We invite you to visit us, our Tasting Room is open the following hours: Nov 1st - March 15th: By Appointment only. We are well versed with the wines at Le Vieux Pin, they're one of our favourites. The 2014 vaila-rose is particularly good. The location and winery is beautiful, the wines overall are superior. Our only hesitation is the seemingly arrogant and snotty service from one of the staff members. We had to leave due to the poor service. Of all... More

La Vieux Pin does indeed make some worthy wines along with their sister winery La Stella. However, both take themselves very seriously, even going so far as to compare themselves with Petrus and Domaine Romanee Conti. Really? Give your collective heads a shake! If, after a hundred years or more with a track record of excellence comparable to theirs, maybe,... More

Nice setting. Tasting room surrounded by vineyards. We enjoyed the docent who explained in detail the wines and the stem ware utilized enhanced the tasting. We purchased the Petit Blanc, Syrah Violette, Ava and Vaila (rose). All wonderful. The only disappointment was that they had sold out of the Savignon Blanc. Nicely done.

This was by far the most educational, professional delicious tasting that we did over our three days in the valley. And the wine is fabulous!! They were very busy when we arrived with a large group from Alberta. We were not ignored even though they were spending a boatload. Alex made sure we had some lovely Rose while we waited.... More

Amazing staff and even better wines. My fiance and I have visited numerous times over the past 5 years and we always leave with a great memory of the experience, and a case of wine we look forward to enjoying in the future.

By far the best winery we have been to. Extraordinary service and wine knowledge and of course excellent wine. These people set the bar for professionalism and create a truly memorable wine tasting experience. Do not miss this one in the Oliver area.

Had a wonderful experience at Le Vieux Pin Winery. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and made our wine tasting experience exceptional. I couldn't leave without their 2011 Syrah. My only regret is that I didn't have more room in my suitcase.

As locals and Grapegrowers, we frequent a lot of the wineries in the area and are always impressed with the depth of knowledge and excellent service at this notable example of B.C.'s best products. Despite a full tasting area (its smallish), the chap who looked after us answered all of our questions and juggled three other sets of visitors seamlessly……..Bravo!

The owners of Le Vieux Pin, need to be proud of their counter staff. Each time we visit, the tastings are well presented. This is a tasting for those who love their wine. Each wine ie poured in a new glass and the stemware is top notch. Thanks, we will be back soon.
