Named for the solitary majestic old growth pine of their Oliver estate, Le Vieux Pin sits perched amidst the famed vineyards of the Black Sage Bench: Canada's sole pocket desert, located in the South of British Columbia's Okanagan Valley. Since releasing their first vintage in 2005, Le Vieux Pin has captured the essence of traditional French winemaking, along with the bold New World character distinct to the region. Considered by the national wine industry to be a leading Syrah producer, the winery uses low input viticulture and non-interventionist winemaking to make exclusive vintages that carry with them a sense of time and place. These fine wines can be savoured nationwide and internationally, at select culinary hot spots, gastronomical institutions and fine wine merchants. The pine tree stands alone. We invite you to visit us, our Tasting Room is open the following hours: Nov 1st - March 15th: By Appointment only. March 16th - May 15th: 7 days a week 11am-5pm May 16th - Sept 30th: 7 days a week 10am-7pm Oct 1st -Oct 31: 7 days a week 11am- 5pm

Did a day of wine tasting yesterday along Black Sage Road. Le Vieux Pin was a major highlight for us thanks to Annie our tasting host. She was just the right amount of informative and fun! Exceptional customer service paired with high quality french style wines. The south okanagan is producing some amazing Syrahs and LVPs was the best we... More

This winery is close to where we live and was one of the first we visited and tasted their wines. They have a most unique way to treat their customers and that is if you are being served and listening to their explanations and the door opens with new people coming in, they welcome them and then ask them to... Lovely French style wines, high end and pricey, but worth it. When a tasting room gives you different styles of glasses for each tasting you know they are serious. The tasting room was quite small and the staff formal. We purchased a couple bottles and will be back again.

The wines, oh my! Ava is angelic and the Syrahs superb! Severine Pinte takes such care in creating her complex and delightful wines that you're in for a real treat. Sulfites are limited. Plus, you're not charged for the tastings, which puts customers first. Burrowing Owl and Tinhorn Creek were overrated after visiting Le Vieux Pin. Alex was excellent. He... More

The wines here are very nice, a bit on the expensive side. The overall experience is nice, all of the wines are poured in the proper glasses to enhance the tasting experience. The staff are never the same from year to year, so it does detract from their rating, slightly.

Le Vieux Pin strives for, and remarkably nails, the flavors of the Rhone Valley in their exceptional white and red wines. One of two "must" stops for real wine geeks. The other is LVP's sister winery, La Stella, which specializes in Italian style wines. I visit and purchase here every time I'm in the Valley. If you're a beginning taster... More

We walked away with membership here as well. Take your time. Don't be shy, Ask lots of questions. Get to know their wine and it will be... More

This winery is amazing! My husvand and I went to this winery for the 2014 VAÏLA ROSÉ and fell in love with almost each vintage we tasted. The wine has a crisp and dry finish. At Le Vieux Pin the vintners goal is to make wine that is as they describe on their site to "capture the essence of French... More

The hostess was generous with her time with us and was clearly proud of the wines Vieux Pin has to offer. Indeed, we recommend the wines and hard a terrible time staying within our budget!

A warm welcome by a charming lady, pretty much experienced in wine history and making. Her management of the wine tasting was outstanding, in terms of comments, presentation, and the like. Being myself involved in the cellar Bodega Solandes in Mendoza Argentina, with some experience of wine making from the ground to the bottle and the customer, I was impressed... More
