If you prefer a less crowded beach this is the one to chose. It is sandy, is suitable for swimming and has RNLI lifeguards, but has limited facilities. The beach is in full sun from early morning but it will disappear behind the cliff in the later part of the afternoon. Access is via a very steep hill or several... More

We used to come here as kids when we lived in Broadstairs. Lots of fond memories of a beautiful beach hidden only a short walk from the main beach on Viking Bay. It's great to see it's retained its character as the hidden gem of Thanet's beaches.

Free parking. Lots of steps tho. We visited out of season. However, it was clean and lovely beach to walk along.

I live very close to this beautiful beach. You can park very near for free. The sand is lovely and the beach litter free. The water is clean and safe for very young children. There are lifeguards in the main season. There is a small shop open in the main season (May-Sept).There are beach huts for hire from thanet council... More

Wide sweep of sand intersperced with chalk rocks and seaweed. A lovely place to go walking or hunting in rock pools for anything interesting. This is one of my favourite Thanet beaches...there is a lower promenade along the length of it with beach huts and a snack bar open during the Season. Great unspoilt beach for family enjoyment.

I am fortunate enough to have friends who live in Broadstairs and visit every so often. We come here to take in the sea air and blow the cobwebs away. This is a pretty sandy beach and very near the centre of Broadstairs where there are plenty of restaurants. It overlooks the Goodwin Sands where many a boat has come... More

Rockpool central. This is a great spot for gazing into rockpools at sealife and watching the sandpipers and sanderlings

A sandy but quiet beach with life guard - ideal for laying on or walking along the cliff top or beach level promenade. Great.

Stone Bay is a lot quieter than Viking Bay and the perfect place to enjoy the beach in Broadstairs. Swimming, crab hunting or sun bathing, you can do it all at Stone Bay.
