I have been visiting Viking Bay at Broadstairs for many years. The beach is clean, sandy, sheltered and safe for children. A typical English seaside surrounded by narrow streets with shops selling traditional seaside goods. In recent years a number of good quality restaurants have opened.

Go here quite a bit with young children. My 6 year old loves it! Nice beach, ice cream shops, fish and chips etc. On a hot day, great place for family's with kids.

A typical picture postcard bay, lots of nice places to eat, nice ice cream parlour, a fair was on one evening, music at the bandstand, fireworks and a little market. A nice friendly place to visit.

very picturesque, sheltered bay, monitored by lifeguards, sandy and pebbly, with a small harbour and small pier, plenty of icecream parlours, restaurants and things to do right next to the beach.

Clean golden sand, clear blue water and tasty hot doughnuts. One of the best beaches on the Kent Coast.

Wonderful sandy beach, which is cleaned every other morning by council to clear seaweed etc. Tide never gose out too far so you can always paddle at least and a good rock pool that the kids love when the tide is out. The atmosphere around the harbour is very good, with pleanty of pubs and cafes nearby.

Very nice and clean beach. Good amenities. Close to all shops and restaurants. Not like a lot of rundown seaside resorts. Good for surfing and a sandy beach rather than pebbles.

As the hiring of sunbeds and deck chairs on viking bay beach and not run by Thanet council, when a problem occurs there is noone around to deal with it. On Saturday only one of the three hire huts were open and the one that was did not open until after 11! We were informed that this was due to... More

This is a lovely bay with a lovely garden and lots is seating. A beautiful beach and close to shops. A walk over the cliff path is just long enough for a daily stroll or a slightly longer walk would take you into Ramsgate walking through the park. This path also has lots of seating so you can rest awhile... More
