This a fantastic beach, with disabled access and a real charm. The waters are child friendly with no strong currents or undertow's in the bay. It is easily accessed from London by train and the town has a real 'old world charm' to it. Check out the tiny cinema on the way down to the bay! A great spot for... More

I hadn't been to Viking Bay for over thirty years and it's changed little over the years. I'm glad it hasn't because its a lovely place to visit for that old fashioned seaside resort experience. There is a small cafe opposite the cinema that is dog friendly and plenty of souvenir shops

Has been a great beach for many years offering nice sandy beach with plenty of facilities. Facilities include beach ball and table tennis and public conveniences which are now showing their age.

nowhere better, many people think of Thanet as Margate or Ramsgate and seem to forget that Broadstairs, stuck between the two completely outshines its better known neighbours in every conceivable way. The town is a joy and the beach is or should be the envy of all English Seaside resorts, with some of the safest waters around the UK and... More

What an excellent day out we had during the Dickens week in Broadstairs. Enjoyed the Victorian costumes worn by many of the locals and the schools music competition and bazaar. Lovely place full of nooks and crannies. Well worth a visit.

This beach was one of the reasons I moved up to Kent two years ago and safe to say even on rainy days I have not yet been disappointed with the beauty of this beach. I hate sand so I love to just sit on top of the cliff top looking out or walking along the pathway. Easily accessible especially... More

We went here on a very sunny sunday and the beach was pretty packed, but this didn't spoil it. Nice views of Bleak House and the white cliffs. It is a very nice albeit small sandy beach, with lots of ice cream and snack places. Looked very clean as well, no discarded piles of rubbish anywhere to be seen. We... More

Viking Bay is a lovely spot in the midst of quaint and quiet Broadstairs. The beach is very clean with only a few businesses on the seafront itself. A nice place to walk, swim or boat.

After staying at Broadstairs at the end of May 2015, we can only say that Viking Bay is everything that a traditional seaside front should be. There is a lovely sandy beach looking out towards the French coast and is said to be the "Jewel in Thanet's crown". There are several places to grab lunch, ice cream and evening dinner,... More

Nice crescent bay with sandy beach backed by cliffs and gardens. There is a lift down to the beach with promenade which is part of the Viking Trail. Nice selection of shops. Very steep in places and car parking charges a bit on the high side. No dogs allowed on beach May to September.
