My partner and I took a trip for the day to Broadstairs as it is a historic town with lots of character. The beach is small but clean with a very pretty bay. Well worth a visit.

A very clean, sandy and welcoming beach. One of the best in Thanet! The beach is always kept clean and is surrounded by the beautiful town of Broadstairs. Just a quick walk into town to get food and drinks etc. well worth a visit.

Took a train from Canterbury(West) to Broadstairs. Easy journey with a 5-10 minute walk down to the sea. Viking Bay is beautiful. Sandy Beach with a fantastic view.

I've been going to broad stairs since I was little so 30+ years. Last year, gala week was fantastic I was very disappointed this trip as no one was cleaning, levelling or de-sea weeding the beach. Crowds were rowdy with no control and there was glass on beach ( no doubt from the copious amounts of booze the under-age drinkers... More

We went in November so no sunbathing for us. Never the less the beach is clean, the sand is lovely and soft and there's plenty of cafes, ice cream shops and family friendly pubs near by.

Viking Bay is a fantastic sandy beach that has hardly changed over the years. A good beach for families, there is a lift (in high season) making it great for those with buggys & toddlers, good facilities in easy reach, easily accessible rock pools at low tide, good for even the smallest children, there is an old boating pool which... A beautiful white sandy cove, safe for swimming, good facilities all round, even a safe manmade pool for children to go crabbing in at low tide; perfect for families. The beach is an easy walk from the train station through the lovely seaside town of Broadstairs. Excellent walks all round the coast in the winter and lovely restaurants open all... More

Lovely beach in the quaint town of Broadstairs. Lift access. Only neg is that the parking can be a bit tricky and expensive.

Lovely clean beach and perfect for families, even in the October half term we had lovely weather and our young son enjoyed a paddle while we watched on. Can't wait to come back.
