My mum lives within walking distance to this beach and I love it!! It is clean and well maintained, there are toilets and a small shop which sells food and a few beach essentials. This beach even now has its own lifeguard! This beach even now has it's own lifeguard!

I am local to this beach and its my prefered choice.Parking is very limited during nice weather so if you can walk there do so.Surrounded by high chalk cliffs it is good for the young to go exploring ,you can still see some of the smugglers tunnels if you go looking for them when walking at low tide from here... A sandy bay by Kingsgate (between Broadstairs and Margate). It was the site of the battle of Botany Bay, between smugglers and excisemen. The excisemen won, I'm pleased to say. It gets used by, er, 'courting couples', who leave evidence of their 'courting', so you need to watch that but that aside, it's a delightful place to visit. We saw... More

We love Botany Bay and cannot say enough good things about it. It's especially pretty when the tide is out. There are no amusements, etc. that you have to tolerate at Margate or Hastings so it really suits us. We tend to go down to the beach to swim, play, explore, etc. and then picnic on the grass at the... More

We loved our day at Botany Bay. We started with coffee in the gardens of the picturesque tea rooms on Botany Road. Delicious fresh coffee. Be warned , in the holiday season it is difficult to find parking space there. We then spent the day on the wonderful sandy beach. It is a great family beach with safe bathing. We... More

A fantastic beach with loads of space to kick back and relax. The beach and water is clean and clear with a nice little cafe and toilets up the stairs. The sign of a good beach has to be the sound of children's laughter and there were so many happy little people running around and having fun. A great little... More

Our family of four had a great beach day today. The kids dug sand castles and searched fro crabs. My wife read her book under the cliffs to protect herself from the breeze I went for a walk towards Margate right along bay passed several derelict buildings. Wonderfully windswept.

Great day out, good BBQs, clean beaches. Make sure you check the times of the tide though! You get no phone signal down there on any network and its a bit of a hassle to keep going up to the top.
