Nice place I went for the second time after 25 years, it was a surprise de-tour for my birthday as I like cable cars... The first time I went was on a school trip... Great place for a family day trip, lots of play areas for little explorers... Good educational day out. I loved the cable car ride, beautiful scenery... More

First visit here as part of a honeymoon. I'm a big kid so knowing that there were some focused children's activities didn't faze me. Highlights: Caverns, cafe with a view, the views. Downside: cost, it was only two of us at £15 each it was a lot but I have to say we arrived at 11am and didn't leave until... More

Having arrived late morning, the car park nearest the attraction was completely full as was the overflow. Parking could be found a little under a mile away but is fairly expensive. The Heights of Abraham is a fantastic family attraction with something for everyone. Once we had queued for the cable cars, the rest of the day was relaxed; despite... More

I just wanted to comment on how good the Vista Bar and Restaurant at the Height of Abraham was for gluten-free food for my 6-year-old. The lady behind the counter offered to open fresh packets of cheese and salad for his dish, and there was the best range of gluten-free desserts I've seen. When you've got a 6-year-old with coeliac... More

Really enjoyed our trip to the Heights of Abraham. Lots to do without additional payment. The playgrounds were super. One of the caves was very good the other two needed considerable extra energy The car parking was a bit of a problem - needed a lot of change to get an all day ticket - be warned. Food available at... More

Very interesting attraction. Great cable car ride. Limited suitability for wheelchairs due to very steep paths round the top station displays. Also, access to the ticket office and cable car statoin is extrememly steep, so muscle up before you go! Cafe is good and accessible. Use the top entrance above the ice cream parlour. Loos also. Parking at the Matlock... More

What a lovely place on a sunny day. The views from the cable car are lovely, the mines are worth a look, the man who took our tour was very good and full of knowledge. The museum was a bit of a let down personally didn't find it interesting. Only bad part was having parked in matlock with only 2... More

My daughter loved the cable car trip up the heights. Once up top, there were several activities that could keep her occupied for a good 2-3 hours. The Punch and Judy show was good fun. We didn't try the cafe, but the prices looked reasonable.

We visited Matlock today and for the first time visited the Heights of Abraham, ascending the heights as you do in the cable cars. This is one spectacular way to see the Derbyshire attraction of Matlock Bath, not a cheap attraction by far,but entirely value for money when you spend a few hours looking around and see what has been achieved on a...
