Very nice views when you get there but very expensive for cable car ride and access to amenities but worth the visit (I understand maintenance costs and h&s cost must be very high but very dear for a family) Just saying

The Heights of Abraham was a brilliant day out, good value for money and really interesting. I visited with my boyfriend on 2nd July and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff were outstanding, Helen, our tour guide for one of the mines, was great. She was enthusiastic and really tried to get to know the crowd to tailor make her... More

We spent most of the day visiting this attraction. The cost was £22 for a concessions couple. This included the cable car ride up, (and return) guided tours around two old lead mines and access to all areas of the site. The restaurant on site was excellent with a nice selection of food available at reasonable prices. A great place... More

We went for a great day out and we got one just great to disappear for the day :) we did both caves which were lovely and cold and a very warm day yesterday. We stopped off for cake and a sandwich before getting the last cable car back down the hill. The most amazing views from the top could... More

We parked at the station as advised and took the cable car which was great fun. We arrived quite early to avoid the queues which makes sense if you can. We took a cavern tour first which was very interesting with an excellent guide. Obviously as you wander around you can enjoy the views but up the top at Tinker's... More

What a beautiful place. I'm not from the area and was taken by the views. You don't have to reserve a ticket. You go up to the counter and pay. There is a car park within walking distance, although this does get very busy! The cable cars were fantastic, great photo opportunity of the surrounding views. On arrival you can... More

Lovely when the weather is fine, not so sure on the not so calm days as the carriage sways a little too much for me

Fantastic views . Interesting . The guided tour taken by Neil was fun and interesting. All the attractions at the top are included in the price of the cable car. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.

Went with elderly relatives. Great ride up to The Heights - good views, interesting cave walks with excellent & informative guides - especially Dominic! Engaging displays / exhibitions. Good value for money too.

Matlock Bath has something for everyone. The only negative comment I have is the price of the Gondola! It is more expensive than any other I have experienced skiing in the alps!. The price is crackers!
