Seemed a lot of money at first but once we got to the top there was plenty to do. The cafe food was lovely and reasonably priced. I would recommend this place.

Matlock is a curious place the seaside with a sea. A trip up to the Heights of Abraham offers fantastic views across Matlock. Great family day out and reasonably priced underground tours very enjoyable, lots for little ones to explore and play. But be warned its a bit of a climb to get back up to cable cars

Decided to have a trip out to Matlock Bath on a fresh February morning. Wasn't sure what to expect as I hadn't been since I was a kid. Upon arrival we decided to head up the the Heights of Abraham. When we got to the ticket booth I was shocked to see they were charging £15 per head for adults.... More

Debated for a while as if it would be worth the price of the cable car ride. It was. Stunning views. Interesting and well designed tours and exhibits. An excellent day out. Even in February.

Enjoyed the day looking around the caves and the museums. Although I thought it was a bit expensive.

It was a chilly but sunny day we had at heights of Abraham but well worth the visit. Caves were good and guides informative, just the right length of time. The views are spectacular and great photo opportunities. Cafe good. Enjoyed cable car ride to site. You need coins for station car park though at the moment as cards not... More

The Heights starts really well with the optional cable ride. You can walk up the hill - but going up in the car is a highlight. The café which is a short walk from the car terminal offers a reasonable choice of food, and in my opinion eating in the restaurant, which has a better view and better food, is... More

This place is a very good destination for family with children as there is lots to do and keep the little ones engaged and busy. They will be tired by end of the day and would sleep well in night. While food options were limited, it is very scenic indeed. The biggest plus here was we could take our four... More

The cable car are modern, safe and smooth, leading up to the Heights, with tea rooms and gorgeous views of the valley. The day ticket price is very close to the annual price, so we went many times during 2015, making it good value. Caution - short, steep hill to access.
