I wasn't sure about this attraction but went anyhow. The trip started at the lower cable car station just along from the railway station with one ticket for the cable car and the other attractions at the top. Views are very good from the heights and there's quite a lot to do, the two mines were particularly good. One tip-... More

We've been promising our 6-year old a trip on the the Cable Car to the Heights of Abraham since last spring, finally got around to it yesterday (Tuesday 15th April). What a cracking day we had! This attraction is in it's 30th year and yet everything looks brand new - full credit to the management for re-investing in the business... More

Didn't really fancy this at first - seemed like a lot of money for a short trip up in a cable car - but I was wrong! It's a great day out - loads for the children to do (ages 7 and 4) and a lovely restaurant too! Fortunately the weather was fantastic and we could sit and enjoy the... More

We visited Heights of Abraham recently and didn't want to leave! As I am afraid of heights I thought I would hate the cable car journey but I loved it. The cable car journey did not last for long only 5 minutes or so. When you get to the other side it is amazing there is two parks there and... More

Firstly you should go it worth it. After buying tickets- which are goodly priced- you get a cable car journey which takes around 3 minutes up because of a stop for photos in the middle. When you get to the top they is a spectacular cave, trails, two play parks, expeditions and good views not to mention a tall tower... More

Having a 4 year old and a 14 year old, We always find it hard to find things that please both. Heights of Abraham was perfect, all we happy and enjoyed the experience very much. Worth the money in my opinion.

Really enjoyed our visit, loads to do, great places to eat and plenty of helpful staff around. Would just say that you have to be pretty fit to do everything - it's a long (and steep) walk from top to bottom & back up for the cable car!

I dont even know where to start but this place was so much more than we expected & the staff just made the day even better. Myself & colleagues supported 4 ladies in wheelchairs here. Right from the off two lovely staff pushed the wheelchairs up the steep hill to the entrance for us. It was just £8.50 for a... More

Made a flying visit here last week, weather was ok so we went for a wander, parked the car (for an hour) not really knowing how much there was to see, walked over to the station and saw a sign for the cable cars so went to investigate, decided to have a ride ... bit expensive £14 each but if... £42 for a family of 4 is expensive but we had free child vouchers so it was only £28. We had been to Matlock Bath before but not visited the Heights until today. The cable car is interesting and a different experience. Slightly scary as I'm not great with heights. Super views however which made it worth it. We went... More
