Visiting friends in Derbyshire decided to take a visit to heights of Abraham Weather cold but didn't spoil it. The lead mine was very interesting with lots of information given wonderful views from the top and a lovely cuppa from friendly staff. Perfect.

I didn't plan the weekend, it started with a trip to Peak Rail at Matlock and then we came here. The cable car ride up to the top gave stunning views over the valley. I'm not great at heights but I was reasonably comfortable - so I wouldn't let that put you off. The cafe and shop was well presented... More

We came here for the afternoon with friends. We thought the cost of the cable car was a little high (£14 per adult), until we realized it included access to the caverns. The cable car up took around 5 minutes. We then went to the 'Great Masson Cavern', we were lucky enough to have Gemma as our guide. She was... More

Had a brilliant day, only went for a couple of hours but will definitely be going back to do the rest! Cable cars are amazing, brilliant views even on a groggy day. Advice would be to go for the whole day and wear sensible shoes.... Nice cafe for lunch as well, good place to grab a sandwich and a drink... More

It cost £39 for two adults and a child, but for that we got two trips in the cable car, and entry into two showcaves (with guided tours), two fabulous playparks, and some museums that we didn't have time to go in to. The cable cars are fantastic. A very steep ride which slows considerably in the middle to allow... More

I am terrified of heights, but managed the cable car by wrapping the tour guide around my face :-) However, it was smooth, fairly quick ride. When we disembarked, we could have been anywhere in town, so I felt safe. There was lots to do. The tour into the cavern was great and very informative and interesting. The staff was... More

Took the cable car up and it was an experience! very well organised and not too long to wait. Up the top there;'s a very good play area and cafe plus visitor centre and lots to do including climb the folly / chimney looking out over the hills. i would have given 5 stars but we parked near the station... The cable car ticket also includes the attractions at the top. The sites are nice on the cable cars, and at the top there are a few things to do. The cavern tour is good as you go underground in a cave/chamber system - which is something different. The tower has very steep stairs but nice view from the top.... More

Great for kids and lovely views, good cavern tour. Very steep, so if you're not fit, it might not be for you. We enjoyed the cable car ride and the tours but not much else for your money!

We visited the Heights in Feb 2015. The cable car ride up the hill was a great way to see around the local area. We had a look around the park, climbing the tower and looking at the exhibitions but this didn't really take us very long as a couple in our thirties. The cave tour was very good and... More
