Description: An unforgettable day
A visit to the Dolfinarium is an unforgettable day...
An unforgettable day
A visit to the Dolfinarium is an unforgettable day out for the whole family. Because how often do you get the chance to meet dolphins, take a close look at sea lions and touch sharks?

Use all of your senses
You can easily spend an entire day at Europe's largest marine mammal park. Take a stroll from the Dolfijnendelta (Dolphin Delta) – where newborn dolphins swim – to the Zeehondenzand (Seal Sand) where common seals live together with grey seals. Listen to the rowdy sea lions and see with your own eyes how enormous walruses are. At the Roggenrif (Ray Reef) you get to meet some smaller inhabitants of the North Sea. Sea bass, rainbow trout and anemones, for example. You can observe them closely and learn all about these interesting creatures. You can even touch the sharks and the rays.

 Eye to eye
Of course you get to take a close look at our marine mammals. There are eleven unique shows in which the dolphins, sea lions and walruses show you their best moves. Be amazed and moved by their extraordinary appearance!

Animal welfare first
The Dolfinarium has been around for nearly fifty years. Over the years we have done a lot of research and made a significant contribution to the protection of the animals in the wild. Animal welfare has always been and will always be our top priority in our research. We take care of our marine animals with a lot of love, passion and respect.
And it shows: the animals in Harderwijk grow (a lot) older than their congeners in the wild and every year many babies are born in our park. As the main sponsor of Stichting SOS Dolfijn we are proud that we are able to help increase the well-being of the animals.

Nice little aquarium!

Pros: 3+1 free internet ticket, shark and stingray petting pool, dolphin show. Cons: crowded, hard to see shows because of the crowds, pretty small park.

The dolfin show is full of visual effects. A huge dome with a clear view from any place on tribunes. Unfortunately it's too much of visual effects and much less of dolfins themselves.

Nice place but not a must. The older children in our group (13,15) were bored, the younger enjoyed a little more. The sea lion show (15 minutes) is funny and the dolphin show (30 minutes) was very nice, but the fact that we had to wait in line around 30 minutes before the dolphin show kind of ruined the fun.... My daughter and I went to the Dolfinarium in August. All the shows were amazing and although the park isnt big and a little run down we had a fab day. We did the backstage tour which we both agreed was the best thing. We got to go back to where the dolphin show was and see the trainers in... More

Great place for the little ones to learn about marine life. Had mixed feelings though, as some of the animals are in small tanks and are only on display for human entertainment. The entrance fee is quite pricey. Hopefully this all goes towards the animals welfare and building bigger tanks.

Good poffertjes and fun atmosphere, though it's not the prettiest place in the world; it looks a wee bit run down. There's a nice restaurant downstairs where you can see marine mammals swim all around you, and when I was there, a baby dolphin was recently born, which was cute. I like the shows they have here, and the gift... More

Went with our four children aged 6 to 14 and they all really enjoyed the day. There were three main shows - including the Dolfin and Walrus shows and lots of other demonstrations. The park also has several play areas. Its not the largest of venues and there is no english spoken during the shows and demonstrations and is quite... More

The animal shows are the best attraction. The average show is 15 minutes, except the one inside with the Dolphins, which is half an hour and well done. In general the place is suffering from low maintenance. Entree is very expensive.
