An unforgettable day

A visit to the Dolfinarium is an unforgettable day out for the whole family. Because how often do you get the chance to meet dolphins, take a close look at sea lions and touch sharks?

Use all of your senses
You can easily spend an entire day at Europe's largest marine mammal park. Take a stroll from the Dolfijnendelta (Dolphin Delta) – where newborn dolphins swim – to the Zeehondenzand (Seal Sand) where common seals live together with grey seals. Listen to the rowdy sea lions and see with your own eyes how enormous walruses are. At the Roggenrif (Ray Reef) you get to meet some smaller inhabitants of the North Sea. Sea bass, rainbow trout and anemones, for example. You can observe them closely and learn all about these interesting creatures. You can even touch the sharks and the rays.

Eye to eye

Of course you get to take a close look at our marine mammals. There are eleven unique shows in which the dolphins, sea lions and walruses show you their best moves. Be amazed and moved by their extraordinary appearance!

Animal welfare first

The Dolfinarium has been around for nearly fifty years. Over the years we have done a lot of research and made a significant contribution to the protection of the animals in the wild. Animal welfare has always been and will always be our top priority in our research. We take care of our marine animals with a lot of love, passion and respect.
And it shows: the animals in Harderwijk grow (a lot) older than their congeners in the wild and every year many babies are born in our park. As the main sponsor of Stichting SOS Dolfijn we are proud that we are able to help increase the well-being of the animals.

We visited on a very rainy and windy day in August. 80% of the attractions are outdoors, so we were limited in what we could see comfortably. But, I suspect there weren't many people there, so we might have won in the end! The Aqua Bella show was great, so don't miss it, my 6 year old deeply loved it.... More

Very much worth the trip. The main show with the dolfins is simply fantastic. The other even if not as much outstanding are also very interesting and look like a great deal has been invested in it.

The live shows with sea animals are great, there are several during the entire day and the best thing of all is that they are outdoor. Great place for adults as well as for kids. The available food is not so fine but for one day is ok.

Pros: 3+1 free internet ticket, shark and stingray petting pool, dolphin show. Cons: crowded, hard to see shows because of the crowds, pretty small park.

The dolfin show is full of visual effects. A huge dome with a clear view from any place on tribunes. Unfortunately it's too much of visual effects and much less of dolfins themselves.

Nice place but not a must. The older children in our group (13,15) were bored, the younger enjoyed a little more. The sea lion show (15 minutes) is funny and the dolphin show (30 minutes) was very nice, but the fact that we had to wait in line around 30 minutes before the dolphin show kind of ruined the fun.... My daughter and I went to the Dolfinarium in August. All the shows were amazing and although the park isnt big and a little run down we had a fab day. We did the backstage tour which we both agreed was the best thing. We got to go back to where the dolphin show was and see the trainers in... More

Great place for the little ones to learn about marine life. Had mixed feelings though, as some of the animals are in small tanks and are only on display for human entertainment. The entrance fee is quite pricey. Hopefully this all goes towards the animals welfare and building bigger tanks.
