We chose Poggio Antico due to good trip advisor reviews and wanted a location where we could have lunch and then enjoy a good winery tour/tasting. First, the lunch at Poggio is very good. Seating is outside under umbrellas. The group of four of us shared two starters and then two main dishes. We very much enjoyed the gnocchi made... More

Tuscany is Napa on steroids! If you have been to the Napa/Sonoma wineries, Poggio Antico is what you expect, but done at the highest of levels. Extremely professional in all aspects. Great wine tasting area where you have the opportunity to buy some great past productions at a very fair price. They also have a great restaurant on site which... More

My husband and I went here for a tour, tasting and lunch afterwards. It was a really great experience. My only wish is that the wine tour included an outdoor component overlooking the land. This being said, we had a great tour guide who knew his stuff. The wine tasting had generous portions - which is always great :) And... More

A visitor friendly and well maintained winery with beautiful surroundings only a few minutes drive from the magnificent Montalcino village. The wines are very good even though a bit on the expensive side. They offer a variety of tasting packages which is very nice. I would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the vicinity.

Estate is magnificent as is the restaurant. For the tour of estate alone you should visit! Wines them-self are very good, but a little overpriced. They also have very good olive oil.

When we booked our wine tasting tour we wanted to get a wide range understanding about Tuscan wines and flavor nuances. Unfortunately the while informative on process the first 2 vineyards had limited tastings by people with limited understanding on wine flavors. When we arrived at Poggio Antico, we were immediately surprised by the professionalism, quality of the property, and... More

We had an informative and honest tour of the winery's production line and then a tasting of 6 or 7 of their wines. The quality was really exceptional and among the best of the 8 other wineries that we visited. Well worth it!!

We enjoyed our tour here at Poggio Antico and highly suggest it if you are in the Montalcino area. The wines are phenomenal and the tour and tasting were an extra bonus. We also went to a restaurant called "Il Pozzo" in Sant Angelo (a nearby town) and it was delicious. The restaurant on site is currently under renovation. The... More

While staying in Umbria and visiting a couple wineries there (Antinori Winery Sala Castle and Barberani Winery, which were more great tastings no tours), we decided we should visit at least one winery in Tuscany as well. After reviewing some blogs and looking at referenced websites, I selected Poggio Antico frankly because I liked their website. Seems to me the... More
