On my second visit to Banfi Winery I got a tour of the winery and a tour of their balsamic storage area. The tour and the wines were outstanding as well as the balsmic. Some balsamics were 30 years old and off the charts great. On this second visit I took my family to the back were the hotel is... More

The wife and I took a tour of the estate with our friends and had an amazing time. We were very impressed with the amount of information and detail from our tour guide. We were able to see every facet of the winery and even took a tour of the museum on site. The Enoteca has an excellent assortment of... More

The property is absolutely outstanding! We were to early for the tour but we spent a good hour in the enoteca tasting and then buying wine! I would go back in a heartbeat!

Castillo Banfield Wine Estate was set in an absolutely beautiful Tuscan setting. The tastings are in a beautiful room and the wines are superb. The restaurant was not open when we were there or we would have definitely tried it. We enjoyed hearing about their vinegar and seeing the vinegar room as well. It's best to visit with a guide... It was a last minute decision to stop at this attraction.. We were blown away by the beauty of the grounds and the history of the building. I cannot give any information on the wine tasting but the room where it was held was gorgeous and the extensive list of wines to choose was extensive. We wandered around for photo... More

I loved the tasting we had at Castello Banfi. There was a quick intro at the beginning with a high level description of four of their wines. There was a hefty sample of all four and the option of a meat and cheese plate. All were delicious! There was a beautiful store attached to the tasting room as well as... More

Loaded with history, this winery produces the famous excellent Brunello di Montalcino wine. Visit it with a guide who will explain the interesting story and history of the property, the wine producing process including innovative machines and processes conceived by Banfi, and guide you to the caves to see the aging process. Wine and cheese tasting follows. For a complete... More

We were not able to do the tour, as they were setting up for a wedding, but we did enjoy a wonderful tasting at this beautiful winery in the Montalcino hills. I was not able to snap enough pictures of the beauty of this estate. The wine tasting was reasonable and well worth the opportunity to visit. I would recommend... More

Anyone who is familiar with the classic wine movie "Sideways" will immediately think of the classic scene at 'Frass Canyon' (the winery where 'Miles' poured the spit bucket over his head) when entering the tasting room at Banfi. Extremely commercial. More interested in ripping off tourists than actually educating the wine consumer. The tour was much of the same. It... More

We were here only for a relatively quick tasting. The weather was very bad. Winery itself is beautiful, as are the vineyards. Of course, everything is on a large scale, and that takes away a little bit of the charm, but, you should definitely visit Castello Banfi!
