We had stopped at two other winery/tasting rooms and found them at lunch so we continue to the next, and as the pavement turned to dirt, we continued as our maps said this was the way to go and so what if we had to turn around...to our surprise we arrived at this beautiful location and were warmly greeted by... Amazing elegant degustation of excellent wines and high level client care at Ciacci Piccolomini di Aragona. We visited Tuscany for one week and among the places we were sure to visit the new degustation room of this top winery. I know them from Prague, as they present their wines regularly at Grand Gala di vini Italiani, organized by Mr Brano... More

A bit difficult to find even with road signs in town. GPS does not work here. Follow the unpaved road and continue until you see again the signs for this estate. They have a swanky brand new authentically Tuscan tasting building across the road. Despite its big sounding name, this estate is midsize by any standards, however it is obvious... More

Very easy to prebook a tasting/tour on line. Tasting room is small, call/book ahead. We ordered wine to be sent home and all arrived in perfect condition.

We arrived at the estate half an hour early, entered the main building and found ourselves at the very modern office, which somehow managed to fit in perfectly into the traditional Tuscan building. Since we were lucky to be the only couple who booked the winery tour that day, we: a) were offered to start the tour immediately; b) had... More

After several wrong turns and some humorous attempts to ask directions of locals (lots of pointing and smiling!) we came to the winery. We are so glad we persevered. Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely and charming Nicoletta who look at our party of 6 with some puzzlement. Turns out we had made reservations for only two. She... More

By far the most memorable and enjoyable wine tasting in Tuscany. Beautiful grounds, a charming and captivating history and of course spectacular wines made this day truly special. Our host Lucrezia took the time to explain the unique nature of Brunello and the high standards to which it is produced - and she was very generous with our tasting. Though... More

We are so happy we had the opportunity to visit Ciacci Piccolomini in early May. It was the best wine tour we took. We were met in the courtyard by our guide Nicoletta who was both personable and professional. She first brought us to a look out point where we could view the vineyard and where she explained the agriculture... More

I must agree with all the other reviewers: this is one of the best winery tours & tastings you will find. Nicoletta is a superb guide and very forthcoming about the winery, the lovely history, and the Montalcino area. Our dear friend David led us here and while it was the second winery we went to that day, we were... More

My wife and I had a great experience at Ciacci Piccolomini. Nicoletta was a very personable and knowledgeable guide, discussing the interesting history as well as the agricultural and vinification processes of the estate. The tasting after the tour was outstanding in two ways; first the relaxed pace and comfortable surroundings (especially for a larger producer) and secondly the high... More
