The villa is a beautiful building on the shore of lake Como. Although it has an exhibition of art work inside, it is the botanical garden outside which is the most stunning. The view from the villa is also spectacular.

We took an hour but could last 2 hours, great villa with loads of paintings and sculptures and awesome views of Lake Como with Bellagio on the opposite lake shore. Bus C10 from Como is cheap about €5 each, you buy the bus tickets in newsagents not on the bus. The ferry is more fun but is €15 each. The... More

A wonderful attraction not to be missed. The gardens are absolutely stunning filled peace and tranquility. The villa is interesting and worthwhile visiting. You will find that there is not a lot of historical information provided about the villa but nonetheless it's still fascinating to see. If you have the time, have a coffee at the cafe - sitting on... Gardens made for a peaceful and tranquil trip. We visited in October in late summer conditions so found plenty of greenery and flowers. The building was reasonably interesting albeit an art collection which a schoolchild could have drawn but then I clearly don't appreciate all forms of art.

It is impossible in a few words to do justice to the wealth of colour and emotional impact. From spring to autumn there are flowers in bloom. We visited the gardens in October I can't imagine how colourful it would be in spring, when azaleas, rhododendrons, magnolias break into blossom.

Beautiful, relaxing stroll around the gardens and house. Wonderful views and interesting history. There were excellent facilities and a nice place to eat within the grounds.
