Well worth a visit.

Beautiful gardens. Will be even better in about six weeks time when more of the flowers will be out.

Villa Carlotta is - to my mind- the number 1 sightseeing of lake Como. You will admire the paintings and the beautiful sculptures of the villa. Stroll in the huge gardens which boasts a wide variety of plants and flowers. There is a nice view of the lake and Bellagio from that point. You will need much time to enjoy... More

These huge gardens in classic Italienate Grand Tour style look out over Lake Como. Visit in April - May, to catch the rhododendron.

The house felt rather cold to me. True there are some amazing marble statuary pieces and beautiful paintings. But no photography (even non-flash) was allowed and you couldn't buy any small picture books. So the memories of the house are going to be difficult to recall. But the gardens--oh my, they were gorgeous even in early March! Be careful--some of... More

We have spent a good couple of hours in this villa and gardens. Beautiful and well mantained, my little girl loved to run around. Amazing views too!

Came here late about 1.5 hours from the closing time. Hence, there were empty parking spaces just outside the villa. And its free! Villa Carlotta has a huge garden, with many species of plants! When you are on a higher level in the garden, you get to see the view of lake Como and the opposite bank. In the building,... More
