Nice villa with some big gardens and lovely views. Not much to add beyond what others have said except: - Went in July and the gardens were not in bloom - better to go in spring when all the flowers are out! Obvious when you think about it... - Inside of the villa is quite uninspiring so better to go... More

The exterior of the villa is beautiful and the gardens maintained to a very high standard. We were disappointed by how modern the villa has been made with rough concrete staircases and strange shops, including a slightly creepy puppet studio. The museum was fairly uninspiring in vast, bare rooms that would've been much more interesting if they'd shown their original... More

Villa Carlotta is beautiful, well-preserved house with amazing view over lake Como and impressive botanical garden. Flowers here bloom during entire summer and provide unlimited entertainment for the eyes. There are some rear trees and plants from all over the world, which deserve to be seen. Also, the house is nice, compact museum. Strongly recommended for a relaxing walk in... More

We enjoyed our visit here on a recent holiday. The gardens are spectacular and the house is amazing to. There is a lift from the gardens so everyone is catered for. There is a very nice restaurant where you can enjoy lunches and snacks. we also enjoyed a wonderful classical concert here.

This is worth seeing if you are looking for something to do. But, as compared to other villas in France and Italy this villa comes up short. What is there is nice but there is not much here. The garden are worth seeing.

Whilst staying in Bellagio, we decided to take a ferry boat ride across Lake Como and visit the Villa Carlotta. Several people in Bellagio had recommended to the villa as a “must see” place to visit. On arrival, we paid the 9 Euro per person entrance fee and made our way up the elegant steps to the front door of... More
