Beautiful villa that defines Lake Como.

We got only a very good long look at this villa from our boat on Lake Como, but it epitomizes what you would expect the nicest villa on the nicest lake in Italy to look like. We would have loved to have taken the tour except for our time constraints. But, we must have taken 50 to 100 pictures from... More

Great tour guide, fascinating villa and quite sublime grounds. Paradise! Scenes from Star Wars Episode 2 and Casino Royale filmed here, 20 minute walk or short boat trip from Lenno. Well worth it, even just for the gardens.

This is a stunning villa set right on the lake (and yes, it is one of the film sets for Casino Royale and Star Wars!). But you can see why - it's calm and tranquil (approach by boat of foot), it's stunningly decorated and even has a museum of the previous owners explorations to the North Pole and Everest. You... We have visited few villas on lake como and this one is the best one of them. It is not the biggest villa that we visited but it has the best presentation; the admission fee is included a very good english speaking guide who told us many interesting stories about the villa on the other hand the other villas just... Had a trip on one of the water limousines from Bellargio to this wonderful villa. Casino Royale and Star Wars were filmed here. We were met by a guide and had a tour around the villa and outbuildings which include a map room and library. Tour was informative and interesting and the villa is more like a museum with artefacts... More

My fiance and I visited during the early summer a year ago, and I've since returned with my parents to show this gem of the lake district off. From its manicured Italian style gardens to its fame in movies...this villa brings such a sense of prestige and beauty that I'd buy it if I won the lottery.

Breathtaking setting on the lake. Very informative tour. Unique home to a unique man who had literally 'explored' the world, and this villa just chock full of wonderful priceless mementos from those travels. Would absolutely go back there to see it all over again. What an awesome Villa!

What a location! Stunningly positioned on an islet overlooking Lake Como, this house and gardens exemplify the best of Italian style and culture. Walk from Lenno, and take a boat back, to catch the view froom the water.

It was middle June and very very hot! The walk to the villa is quite challenging for someone in not a great shape. The parking at the bottom of the mountain is very small and crowded, we struggled to park our little Fiat, but all the effort was well worth it when we got up at the Villa. Loved the... More
