Just for the view...

For me, purely and simple, the view is definitely worth to climb up 110 stairs... It is also a very small church that you can light a candle...

Number one on the things to do in Petra even if you have visited before. The 114 steps make a good exercise and excellent photo shots if you have enough breath left to hold camera steady!

This looks very daunting when you first look up at the 114 steps but it's not difficult when you get started. The views from the top are well worth the climb and the church itself is lovely

Climb the rock that gives Petra its name - a wonderful church with fabulous views. The climb is not too onerous for the fit and healthy but best undertaken in the cool of the morning

Well worth the climb, and it is a climb, some 100plus steps up, but manageable if taken slowly. Recommend visiting in the cool of the day. View from the top is lovely, with lots of photo opportunities. Remember this is a church, even if you are non religious please remember to dress respectfully. Do take a look at the loo's,... More

Well worth the visit to this church, the climb is 114 steps to top so best to do this fairly early in the morning. Beautiful inside and marvellous view from the top over Lesvos village .

We have visited here several times when coming to Petra. This year was made more special as we have lost a few friends and wanted to light candles. The climb was difficult in places but the views are Amazing. I would advise people to do this early morning before it gets too hot and take water with you.
