The best beach of whole island

Peaceful and quiet. The water is clear. The sand isn't rocky. I liked this beach best. It isn't crowded, you don't feel people breathe behind your back.

The beach was walking distance from our hotel in Perissa, so we decided to have lunch and visit the beach. After seeing the beaches in Mykonos, this is definitely not impressive but it's clean and there's only a few people so you can chill and relax (we went in May, it was also a bit cold so not really conducive... I have never seen a black beach and this one is beautiful. A must while in Santorini. You can rent chairs and there are restaurants along the beach.

If you are after beaches, Santorini is definitely NOT the place for them! Being Greek, I have been spoilt to death with lovely beaches since my childhood. Perissa beach was an ok beach, but nothing special. Apparently it gets very crowded in summer. The way Santorini beaches go, however, it is one of the best.

Even in late October it was warm enough to use the sun beds and umbrellas on the beach anytime of the day.Ours was provided free of charge by our hotel, but I believe €8 is the usual daily charge.A nice clean black sand beach. The water was really warm, about 25 degrees.

Black sand, sun, beautiful sea, but also cigarette butts. I liked it, but some beaches are nicer. It's definitely a tourist area.

Unique black sand beach, obviously overcrowded (Santorini duh!) so walk south from Perivolos or visit in the late afternoon or early morning.

Nice location for families and couples .. black sand beach with very clear water .. you can hire an umbrella for about 8 Euros .. we chose a restaurant to but staff was rude.. you can spend half a day easily at the location .. we went through a local bus from Fira.

You’re planning a trip to Greece and you’ve always dreamed of visiting Santorini – how could you possibly resist? It should be such a pity to miss it! Here some advice to help you uncover the island’s maximum potential with your kids. Avoid Caldera and that part of the island. Instead, consider Kamari or Perissa. It will take you less... More

We had a great time at this beach with our baby girl. We enjoyed the umbrella and seats on the beach as well as the great food and service from the restaurant-bar.
