One of the better beaches in Santorini, I spent most of my time here as I found it was not over crowded. A little rocky in some parts and slippery so be careful! However, having spent a lot of time on the Southern part of Crete, this beach is of no comparison! If you are looking for a BEACH, then... More

Lovely beach which is a short walk from the main street in Perissa. Variety of shops, restaurants and bars to choose from. You need to hire the sun beds or if you eat or drink at one of the restaurants they usually include sun bed hire as well.

Very clean, no problem getting in the water once you overcome the slippery rock but to be honest you can swim over this. The coarse sand does get very very hot being black so you will need your flip flops to get from your sunbed down to the sea. Sunbeds seem to all be maintained the various tavernas they were... More

Great beach but because it is volcanic it gets very hot and difficult to walk on without some kind of footwear. Sea shelves away very quickly so be careful especially with children.

Make sure you have sandals ........Perissa is a beach of volcainc black sand and is very very hot! Service at the many sunbeds and parasols on the beach is fantastic. Greek people are so friendly and honest, I made a mistake giving a waiter here 3 x 10 euro new notes which had stuck together believing it to be just... More

The beach has plenty of Sun loungers and straw umbrellas, some at a small cost to hire. There are lots of Tavernas across the road serving to the guests on the beach. The black sand can get very hot so beach shoes recommended !!! The sea was lovely and warm and water sports available closeby, ie.parasailing etc.

Lovely beach. Small pebbles but easy to walk on and good gradient when entering the sea. Visited early morning before it got busy. Lovely swim and was very sheltered and calm when we visited.

Volcanic black, shingle sand, gets very, very hot. Beware! Beautiful clear sea, excellent swimming. Kids loved it.

Better / quieter beach than neighbouring Kamari. Most sun beds are free as is wi-fi if you use the services of the adjoining taverna or bar. The one we were at was good value for both drinks (serviced to you on the beach) or for a light lunch in the taverna itself. Always plenty to do and watch with active... More

Excellent choice if you want to relax. Full of taverns and cafes. Even when is windy in this beach you can swim. Suitable for couples, friends and family
